Golden Sun

Graphics: 9.5 out of 10
This game has the best graphics that I've ever seen on a handheld
game since, well I've never seen graphics this good before! The
graphics are rich and crystal clear. The color is bright, and with
the GBA's pallet, there are a lot of colors! The battle scenes are great,
too. They take place behind the characters, just like Final Fantasy.
When the characters cast their magic, the whole screen fills up
with explosions. And when they summon the Djinn, it's breath taking.
Music and Sound: 10 out of 10
The music is great. Instrumental music blares through the GBA's
little speaker. If you're wondering what the music sounds like, play
any Super Nintendo RPG. The sound is great, too. It sound clear, with
no interference. That is why I give it such a high rating.
Game Challenge: 7 out of 10
Unfortunately the game is very short. It's challenging, but an experienced
RPG player will have no trouble. If you play through all of the side-quests,
it will add some playability. Plus at the end, it says "To Be Continued". I
won't spoil the ending, but it is very surprising. A good challenge, but
not a very long one.
Game Play-Fun: 9.5 out of 10
The game can be quite tedious, but most of great fun. There is a bit
of side tracking, but not much. There's thrilling action at every turn.
Frustration
Some parts can be frustrating, like the octopus on the boat, but my
party only died three times during the game. Some people might find
frustrating, but here's a tip: Raise your characters level, buy some new
weapons and armor, get some healing items and try again. It worked for me.
Replayability: 8 out of 10
You have to play through the game more than once in order to truly
discover everything. There are lots of side quests that should keep
you busy for hours.
Game Value: 9 out of 10
The game only cost my aunt about $59.99, a real bargain for GBA games.
The price might not suit everyone, but in my opinion it' more than worth
it. I would have paid $80.00.
Overall: 9.5 out of 10
This is one the best RPG's I have ever played! Memories of Chrono Trigger,
Final Fantasy 2 and 3, and just a bit of Earthbound thrown in there,
makes this one of the greatest game ever. All of your favorite SNES
memories wrapped up into one. Get this game. It will be the best
decision you'll ever make. This is Cafas signing off with some advice:
Play lot's, have fun, and remember, get in the Game!
