The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Reviewed by Nicholas
Everyone loves the Zelda series. The first one was great, the second
one was...uhh...okay..I guess. The one for the SNES was flawless, but
the next one was on the Game Boy, and was a pretty nice game.
The adventure begins as Link is on a ship, during a terrible storm.
Suddenly, lightning strikes the ship, and everything goes blank. Link
wakes up to find himself inside a house. A young girl named Marin
tells him that she found him lying on the beach. With just his shield,
Link goes off to the beach to find his sword.
When Link finds the sword, a talking owl flies down on the beach.
He tells Link that he is on Koholint Island, a land where no one has
any knowledge of the outside world. The owl believes that Link is
the one who has come to wake the Wind Fish. Link must now gather
the eight Instruments of the Sirens and wake the Wind Fish, or he
will remain on the island forever.
To get the eight Instruments, Link must defeat the eight Nightmares.
Like the other Zelda games, Link must use keys and other items in the
dungeons. There are some original items like the Power Bracelet, and
some new ones like Roc's Feather. This is a good game, and this is
what I think about it:
Graphics 3 out of 5
The Graphics are better than the NES version, but is like any other
Game Boy game.
Music and Sound 3 out of 5
It has good sound and music, like when you use your sword.
Game Challenge 3 out of 5
It probably has a middle challenge, but that Eagle's Tower is pretty hard!
Game Play-Fun 4 out of 5
Great Gameplay, try it out!
Overall 4 out of 5
If you're a fan of the other Zelda games, try this game out.
