Graphics: The graphics are pretty bad, though there are some enemies that
look just a little cooler than a normal game. However, the backgrounds,
scenery, items, and just about everything else are blocky and the color
shading is too similar.
Sound: The music is also pretty bad. The songs are of such low quality that
you'll want to turn it off. The sound effects aren't really that good either.
Gameplay: Another really bad sidescroller for the Gameboy. You play as the
Swamp Thing and try to kill other Swamp Creatures because they are
destroying the Earth and also because he needs to foil the plans of some
scientist. I've never seen Swamp Thing, but hopefully it's nothing like this.
The only thing you can do is collect items (like cans and waves) and shoot
swamp stuff that wastes some of your life unless you catch it when it
returns to you. You can also low-hit, but it never seems to work because
the controls are so bad.
Hardness factor: Blocky controls + Bad scrolling + Getting killed every
time you attack = Pretty hard game. It's not so hard that you couldn't
beat it if you tried hard enough.
Overall: 3 out of 10. There are a million bad sidescrollers that were
produced for the Gameboy and this is just another one.
