Sound: 3 out of 10
Gameplay: 6.5 out of 10
Hardness factor: 7 out of 10
Overall: 6.5 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics are very basic, though the characters look good.
Since this is a game that involves moving blocks around, you shouldn't
expect much graphics wise.
Sound: The sound really isn't that impressive, but it's not annoying. There's
only one song in the whole game, but it's refreshing and light. There are
only a few sound effects too and they get old after a while. Some variation
would be nice.
Gameplay: A really good puzzle game for the Gameboy. I would have give it
an extra .5, but the quest mode is lame (you do a puzzle, but it has nothing
to do with the story. It's like having to beat a level to read a page in a
book). In this game, you play as a blob (yes, a blob) and move bottom blocks
away so that you can get all the blocks onto the ground floor. You can't have
a block drop on top of you, or more than two spaces, or you lose the level.
It's actually really fun and incredibly addictive. It's also refreshing since
I've never seen this type of puzzle game before.
Hardness factor: This game gets really hard. If you mess up on the beginning
of a level and can't beat it, you usually won't realize it until you are almost
done with that level. Levels get really big and there are a lot of things you
need to account for (jumping, making sure you don't get squished, if you
need a certain block positioned somewhere later, maneuvers you must do
to win the level)
Overall: 6.5 out of 10. This game is very nice. I'd totally recommend this
game since I've never seen a puzzle game like that (and if you haven't read
any of my other 400 or so reviews here, I've played a ton of games).
