Mega Man 2
Reviewed by Matt Whoolery
Woodman? Airman? Dr.Wiley? These are some of the characters
in Mega Man 2 for Game Boy. This game shows that Capcom wasn't
fulling around when they decided to make a game with a robot
with a human face. This game is what you would expect from
an Mega man game packed in your hand on Game Boy.
Graphics 5 out of 5
What do you expect from a 8-bit handheld system? The graphics in
this game are just as good as the original Nintendo version. Mega Man
was always known for its great graphics. They graphics are really
good though when it shows cinema scenes. If you need good graphics
I recommend this game.
Music and Sound 5 out of 5
The sound in this game is outstanding just like all the other Mega Man
games. This version though has the best sound in the Woodman stage.
The NES version of this game probably has the best soundtrack of
any NES game. For once a Game Boy game has good sound.
Game Challenge 4.5 out of 5
The challenge of this game is pretty hard for a beginner but not so
hard for a pro. The NES version is way harder than this version but
still has a lot of challenge. The main reason it is easier is because it
has 4 less stage. But I still recommend for challenge.
Game Play-Fun 4 out of 5
The game play in this game is fun but not the best of fun. I would
recommend you to buy a NES and play the original version and you
will now real fun, but this is as close as it gets for a Game Boy
version of Mega Man.
Frustration
Your at Dr. Wiley. Your on the last life. Half of your energy is gone.
You get a good shot a Wiley. You and him are at the same energy level.
You jump back, but you don't time it right.
This is what I hate about Mega man games is when it comes to this
and you die. But it makes the game its moneys worth. Other wise
not very frustrating.
Replayability 3 out of 5
The replay of this game is not very good because you don't really
feel like wasting your time beating it again. But it is still fun play a
level or 2 every once in a while.
Game Value 3 out of 5
This game is very expensive. At Funcoland it cost $25 used.
You should just buy the NES version and a NES. But, if you love Mega
Man then I recommend buying it.
Overall 4.3 out of 5
This game lives up to Mega Man game expectations but it still is not
the best Mega man game around. I recommend you play it before
buying it. If you get it enjoy.
