Final Fantasy Legend
Reviewed by Raymond Almeda
Final Fantasy Legend is very suitable for those RPG beginners. Although
the game is very simple and easy, there can be some challenge and depth
and you go along the game. Final Fantasy Legend is the first of the series
and is quite a blast for first time RPGers. However, if you're a long veteran,
don't even bother to touch this game.
Graphics 7.8 out of 10
The graphics for Final Fantasy Legend is very simple. There is nothing new.
The only thing that really stands out in this game in the fighting animations.
They are probably the best animations I've even seen for a Game Boy RPG. This
game won't match Final Fantasy 2 or 3, but it doesn't do a bad job at all.
Music and Sound 5.9 out of 10
WOW! This sound is so good, I'm getting tired of it! The sound for this game
is very common, and the music is very annoying. There isn't much to listen
and hear in this game. If you're looking for a Beethoven special, this isn't it.
Game Challenge 6.9 out of 10
This game is not easy. This game is not hard. However, understanding the
story and the game itself can be quite a challenge. The battles are constant,
so you may be annoyed. Also, there are not so many people to give you enough
info. Therefore, it may be very difficult to know what you're supposed to do next.
Game Play-Fun 4.0 out of 10
This game is very boring after a while. If you're a game veteran, this will
make you sleep the very first 10 minutes. If you're a beginner, get ready for
some new action RPG gaming!
Frustration
There was a lot of frustration in this game. Finding what to do next was
very difficult. There was one part in the beginning of the game that took me
about 10 hours to find out what to do next. Have some guide or a walkthrough
ready for this game.
Replayability 3.1 out of 10
This is a RPG that takes too long to beat in a day! You'll most likely not want
to play the game over again.
Game Value 6.0 out of 10
Well, if you're a beginner and you like Adventure games, you should get this
game. It trains you for the ultimate RPG challenges like Final Fantasy 7 and 3.
This game is a bad buy for veterans. They need more than 20 hours worth
of game play!
Overall 6.2 out of 10
In conclusion, Final Fantasy Legend for the Game Boy is a good game that
takes many elements from the NES classic. If you like RPGs, try this game out.
If you haven't played any RPGs, buy this game. You may find out why RPGs are
the best overall game genre.
