Gameplay: 7 out of 10
Hardness factor: 7 out of 10
Overall: 7 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics are very good, they look a lot like the SNES (only
gray and dumbed down of course) and there are a lot of interesting
characters in the game. Too bad you can only play as the one toad.
Sound: The music is pretty good, though I didn't like it as much as the
first Battletoads for the Gameboy. The quality of the music is better,
however. They also improved on the sound effects quite a bit, which is
really good considering that was a problem in Battletoads.
Gameplay: The sequel to Battletoads is an improvement on the original.
Besides just being a standard beat 'em up, they added a racing part where
you dodge walls and jump over pits, and a down scrolling part where you
hang from a rope and have to kill birds and dodge obstacles. Also, they
added weapons and a few new hits. On top of all this, they fixed up the
control issues, which was the one thing about the game I didn't like.
Hardness factor: It gets pretty hard in the other levels besides the
standard beat 'em up levels. For example, if you crash into an obstacle
in the racing part of a level, you automatically lose a life.
Overall: 7 out of 10. I really enjoyed this game and you probably will
too. Unless you're strongly against beat 'em ups, you should check
this game out.
