Easy Access to Secret Hunk and Tofu Missions

In Resident Evil 2, there are two secret scenarios that are nearly
impossible to access by not cheating. Fortunately, in the N64 version,
there are two button codes that allow easy access to these missions - and
they are quite challenging.
For Hunk, the surviving Umbrella Alpha Team member, simply go to the
load game screen and press on your controller: Up, Down, Left, Right,
Left, Left, Right, Right, L, R, top C, right C, bottom C, then left C. You
will then see a splash screen of two Umbrella Alpha team members,
you can either start or exit. If you exit, you'll have to re-enter the
code again, as the game is not saved.
For the Tofu mission (which is as impossible to get to as to beat it)
you play the same mission as Hunk but only as a big chunk of tofu.
Enter this code at the load game screen for Tofu: Up, Down, Left, Right,
Left, Left, Right, Right, L, R, top C, left C, bottom C, right C. As easy as
it is to get to Tofu with this code, his scenario is IMPOSSIBLE, you only
have a knife and little health power ups to help you.
All Weapons

L, R + L. If done correctly you will be brought back to the main menu.
Invincibility

L, R, L, R, Right C, Left C. If done correct you will be brought back to
the main menu. You will now see a little infinity sign where your ammo
amount would be.
Get the Shotgun/Crossbow quicker

This trick will work for both characters (Leon and Claire) on the first scenario.
Go to the gun shop, and talk to the owner. Then go behind the counter to your left,
there should be ammo laying on top of a crate. Pick it up, then walk back to were
the owner is standing. Before your able to reach him, a short movie will play, and
Zombies will break through the glass window and attack the owner. After the movie
ends start firing at the zombies until you kill them all. Once they are dead walk
over to the owners corps, and press A or Z, words will appear and tell you that he
is not breathing. Press A or Z again, if you are Leon, you will pick up a shotgun.
If you are Claire, you will pick up a crossbow.
Enemies

Zombies: Use the Handgun. They take about 5-6 shots (Average). Howver when you are
stuck fighting a horde of zombies stick to a stronger gun such as the Grenade
Launcher (Grenade Ammo) or Shotgun. Avoid aiming down with these because you will
blow off their legs and the will crawl at you and bite you. If you aim up you can
blow off the heads of many Zombies at one time, but they have to be close. Avoid
Sub Machine Gun.
Lickers: Use the Shotgun or Grenade Launcher (Grenade Ammo). These guns will knock
them down. They will get back up, but by that time you usually have either finished
pumping the Shotgun or reloading the Genade Launcher so you can shoot again. Takes
about 2 or 3 shots depending on how much of a blast they get hit with. The Sub
Machine Gun is also a good choice. It holds them back. The Magnum or other Grenade
Ammo (Flame/Acid) also work well, but the Lickers won't get knocked down.
Crows: Just use the handgun. One bullet is all it takes.
Dogs: Use the Magnum, Shotgun or Grenade Launcher (With any ammo). They are the
most annoying of enemies. You can run past them in the basement of the Police
Station if you are fast enough (Game A). Avoid the Handgun unless they are directly
in front of you and there are no others.
Plants: Flamethrower or Grenade Launcher (Flame Ammo). Other weapons don't work as
well. These enemies shoot acid at you so it is hard to get close to hit them
sometimes.
Spiders: Magnum or Grenade Launcher (Any Ammo). Try to run past them in the
sewers. one shot with the Magnum is all it takes.
Bosses: Sorry I played Claire's A and Leon's B game so I do not know the enemies
weaknesses in Leon's A or Claire's B game.
Parasite: Grenade Launcher (Acid Rounds). The slugs that attack you only need one
bullet from the Handgun, but they are hard to hit.
Alligator: Handgun. One bullet if it picks up the gas canister. This is the only
way I beat it.
William (Train) Game A: Grenade Launcher (Flame Ammo). These knock him back
slightly.
William Final Boss 1st Form Game A: Handgun. I am not kidding. This guy is
easy. It only takes about 9-11 shots to beat him. Unfortunately he then mutates.
William Final Boss 2nd Form Game A: There is no really good weapon to use
against him. I recomend the Grenade Launcher. Use whatever you can.
Tyrant: Shotgun. It takes about 4-8 shots per battle. If you have the Custom
Handgun you can use that, but it can take more than one clip.
William Police Station Boss Game B: Use the Magnum or Shotgun. When the music
stops beware! He will take a few last swings at you, and he still can hit you.
William Train Game B: Magnum or Shotgun. Run around a lot to avoid being hit.
Tyrant Final Boss: Custom Magnum. Takes thee bullets until Ada throws you a
Rocket Launcher. Use it. One rocket.
William Final Form Game B: Custom Magnum. About 5 shots.
Kill the last 2 bosses

This is for the end of Claire's 2nd Scenario (it might apply to others, but I'm not
sure). First, to get to the Tyrant, put the 2 plugs into their slots near the train,
and he'll hop out of the iron smelting pool. To beat him, equip your Grenade
Launcher and shoot him a few times, while running when necessary to avoid his
attacks and healing yourself when appropriate. Eventually, Ada Wong will throw you
the Rocket Launcher. Pick it up, equip it, and shoot the Tyrant with it. One shot
will make him so much scrap. Then go open the train gate, enter the train, and flip
the switch in the control room. When the cut scene ends, got the back of the second
car. William's fully mutated form will fall through the roof. Back up a few steps
and shoot him with everything you have left (you should still have a rocket left).
Don't worry, he's very weak and doesn't attack much. Just keep backing up when he
moves forward. After he turns black and slumps over, go back to the engine and watch
the end sequence.
Bonus Room

The final scenario has a bonus room that can be entered through a long but easy
process. In the first scenario, have Leon or Claire use the red lab key card to
enter the room with the giant flying moth. Kill the moth. Find the keyboard attached
to the wall, kill the larvae on it and type your name in on the keyboard as "GUEST."
Register your fingerprint. Go to the first floor of the lab and find the thumb print
reader panel. Use your fingerprint, and the panel should then ask for a second
"fingerprint verification." Complete the game, and save the second scenario to any
file. In the second scenario from the game you have just played, go to the final
stage. Find the room on the first floor of the lab where wriggling plant vines are
blocking the vent. The red lab key card should be there. Take it and go to the moth
room with the keyboard. Enter your name as "GUEST" and register your thumb print.
Finally, go to the first floor and find the thumb print reader. It should ask for the
"secondary fingerprint verification." Do it, and the bonus room to the right of the
panel should be unlocked. Look for a special weapon inside.
Alligator tip

This will work for either character (Leon or Claire) and for both scenarios A
and B. When you reach the place where you fight with the Alligator boss, just walk
until he tries to eat you. Don't shoot it just turn back and run after you pass
the corner you«ll notice a yellow light at the left, it is a switch, press the
action button in front of it and some kind of tube will fall from the wall. just
stay there and wait for the alligator to come. It will try to eat that tube
(that is, I think, full of gas). Now it«s when you must use your gun. If you did
it the right way, the gator's head will explode and you'll be able to continue
your way with no problems.
Alternate costumes

For alternate costumes, first get the special key in the first scenario, by
getting to the police station without picking up any ammo. Then get the box
of handgun ammo off the desk near the computer. Go back outside, and
down the stairs you will see a zombie, wearing camouflage pants and a
yellow vest, who normally isn't there. He'll take about 30 shots before
going down. When he finally does, search him to get the special key. Take it
to the save room where you develop pictures, and inside you'll find a locker
that the key will open with a change of clothes waiting inside.
Play as Hunk and Tofu

Hunk: The fourth survivor is a bonus game mode that features another playable
character named "Hunk." Hunk is one of the soldiers who tried to take the
G-virus from William, as seen during the midgame CG FMV. Hunk's mission is to
get from the sewer to the second floor of the police station. It is a battle
mode with no puzzles to solve or items to pick up. To open up this mode, beat
the second scenario for either of the two characters with an "A" rating.
Tofu: Tofu is yet another playable character. He's actually a giant piece of
tofu, who plays the same scenario as Hunk but is armed with only a knife. To
open up Tofu, you must play through the game three times. Play through a first
scenario, then it's corresponding second scenario. Then the other character's
first and its second scenario. Then finally the first and second scenario all
over again. If you can finish each one of the six scenarios each with an "A"
rating then you can play as Tofu.
How to get the three secret weapons with infinite ammo

Rocket Launcher:
Beat the 1st Scenario in under 2 1/2 hours with a B or A ranking.
Gatling Gun:
Beat the 2nd Scenario in under 2 1/2 hours with a B or A ranking.
Submachine Gun:
Beat the 2nd Scenario under 3 hours with a ranking of B or A.
All 3 Weapons:
beat the 2nd Scenario in under 2 1/2 hours with a ranking of B or A.

To see a picture of all the original S.T.A.R.S. members go into the room on the
2nd floor in the police station where you run into Claire and tell her that her
brother is dead and look at the wall on the left side of the room; right of the
trophy case and examine the picture on the wall and the screen will do a close
up on the picture.
Serpents Stone

To get the Serpents Stone enter the library on the second floor of the police
station, walk up the stares. Now walk over to the part ware the floor is week
and fall down into it. Push the power to the book case and get out. Now that
your out head on over to the book case that is farthest to the left and move it
to the right, move to the next one and move it to the right. Viola! The Serpents
Stone is your's. (I have only tried it with Claire)
Extra machine gun ammo

For extra machine gun ammo, get to Umbrella's secret lab with Leon A or
Clair A. You'll find a room with a huge moth. Kill the moth and the larva on
the computer. Go up to the computer and type in nemesis. Then go all the
way back to the place where the frozen room was but instead of going into
the frozen room open the shutters or if they were already open go past
them where you'll find another computer. Use the computer and you'll enter
in your fingerprint. then beat the rest of the game and you'll get Claire or
Leon B. Do the same thing again and it will open the door just beyond the
computer. Kill the lickers that are inside and grab the machine gun ammo
next to the dead guy.
Stay healthy for quite a while

This is a trick for health but it lets you stay healthy for quite a while. What
you have to do is mix the green herbs with the blue herbs then, the green herb
and blue herb to the red herb then when you look at it it will look a brownish
color. You have to do it in that exact order or else it will not work.
Weapon upgrades

When you play the game as Leon, there are two weapon upgrades; one for
the shotgun and one for the magnum. When find the upgrades (in the game
it will say "shotgun parts" or "magnum parts") you combine it with the weapon
it says. The shotgun parts are in the sewer. You get them when you check
a dead guy. The magnum parts are in the lab.
Final boss tip

An easy way to beat the final boss for the first scenario as Leon is to use
your upgraded magnum for the first boss. He then will mutate into a rino
type monster and the easiest way to beat it is to shoot it with your shotgun
when it isn't trying to kill you.
Moonwalk

This is a pretty funny character movement that works best with Leon. Just
get a good camera angle, then tap down on the joy stick. Type down very
fast and he will appear to do the moonwalk. Now isn't that more fun then
shooting zombies?
