Field Goal tip
Get about 20 yards during every play
Sent in by mrsocko467@yahoo.com
Quickly Hand the ball off to the kicker on a fake field goal. If the kicker
stays behind the line of scrimmage he can't be tackled by an opposing player.
Once he does cross the line of scrimmage he can be tackled but this tip is
good for gaining about 20 yards every play.
Almost always catch the ball on a dive
Sent in by Andy Turpen
If you are in need of a first down I found the play to achieve this for you
is in the field goal plays. If you select this play field and select the play
fake/pass and lob the ball to the left end he will almost always catch the
ball on a dive.
Dive
Sent in by Yjrb66@aol.com
If a lot of people on your opponents are running after you, push A (turbo)
and if they're stilling chasing after you push turbo, then push top C. It
makes you dive and then you are way ahead of him.
Passing play tip
Sent in by Yjrb66@aol.com
Say you're on defense and there doing a passing play. All you have to push
is A again, and you either intercept the ball, intend the person, or the
person automatically drops the ball. This is a good thing to the do on
fourth down.
Defense tip
Sent in by Yjrb66@aol.com
A helpful on defense is the play 4-3 stuff run, it always works!!
Get five extra yards
Sent in by Bruce Vang
The trick is to get some extra 5 yards when playing the computer. Before you
snap the ball just keep on pressing A button until the computer goes off side.
(Usually takes the whole 30 seconds and works usually on passing plays.)
Can't be tackled by the other team
Sent in by Will Shaw
Here's a little cheap tip. On a kickoff return or a punt return, catch the ball
and press the (R) button to pitch it back to someone. *They have to catch
the ball in order for this to work.* The guy who caught the pitch can't be
tackled by the opposing team!! But watch out because your team can tackle you.

Be the Bears in 1979. To get to that year hold left or right and their will
be different years of different teams. Find the year of '79 and be them.
When the game starts go to sub players and go to offense and see the
running back's stats. Everything should be full. If it isn't then be a different
year for the bears until everything is full. That running back is Walter Payton.
New season schedule
Sent in by Mario Maniac
Are you tired of playing the same schedule over and over? Well be tired no
more. At the main menu after you turn the game on, go to NFL play and go to
new playoffs. Simulate the whole post season and after the super bowl has
been simulated push B and then pick continue. Go back to NFL play and new
season and presto, you have your new season schedule.

Marv's play-by-play sound deeper.
RNLDSWZNGR Gives your running backs Arnold Schwarzenegger-like
attributes: running slower but very hard to bring down.
SMLMDGT Makes all the players tiny. Also makes the in-game voices
and Marv's play-by-play sound much higher.
BBMNTBL Makes the characters have a squished, tall and skinny look
to them.
JPNSMWR Makes the characters look kind of short, wide and flattened.
WLTRPYTN Makes your running backs as good as the best running back
ever (as of right now): Walter Payton.

Passing and running tip
Sent in by James Bond
I have found that the Oneback formation is the best for passing. Try the
WR Pass or DP Strike for long bombs. Also, the Hail Mary is great for
when you need a touchdown and there's only seconds left. For running
plays, try the Double TE formation.
Play tip
Sent in by Jaron
Turn off all the penalties and when a guy goes out for a pass be
the guy covering him and just press B to tackle the guy and he
won't catch it! For a play that always works go to Power I
Split X. C right will always be open until you do it 5 or more
times. When they catch on do ProSet Rol Rev. Either C down or C
right will be open. You have to throw it quickly though.
Pass Interfere almost every time
Sent in by Jaron
There is a special play that you can do that will get the
other team to Pass Interfere almost every time. It is in
the formation One Back, then it's called Comeback. You
drop back to pass and tap the A button to throw a lob pass
to your tight end. You should wait until he's about 13 or
so yards out. After you throw it, he should keep running a
couple steps, then "Comeback" to the ball and the refs
will call Pass Interference on the defense giving you a
first down from the spot of the foul.
Spread out your plays
Sent in by Jaron
Spread out your plays. For example: Run two running plays
and then throw a shotgun pass. What this does is it fakes
out the Computer so they don't tackle you so easily.
Penalty trick
Sent in by Jaron
This tip is probably a small glitch but it can be
helpful. It works when you are playing defense. If you
know you went offside and the Flag symbol goes up, you
can do this trick. If they pass the ball and the penalty
is going to be on you, tackle the wide receiver so he
can't catch the ball. The game, for some reason, can't
have two penalties on the same play and they only call the
offside one. If you don't do this, the opponent could
complete the pass and get a lot of yards and just decline
the offside.
Easy touchdown
Sent in by Jaron
If your opponent is punting you can get a touchdown easily by passing
the line of scrimmage before the hike and blocking the punt. It will be
offsides but if you take the blocked punt and make a touchdown the
computer will decline and you get 6 points. If you don't get a touchdown
the computer will take the penalty.
Marv Albert trick
Sent in by Jaron
If you go to Custom Sims and set yourself up to kick a game winning
field goal, you can do this trick. You just do this and just as Marv
Albert starts to say, "...and, it's good.", hit start and choose restart
game. Say the Giants and Packers were playing. As the game starts
Marv Albert will say, "Todays game is between the Giants and the
Packers," "And it's good."
Touchdown replay trick
Sent in by Jaron
If you have a play where you score a touchdown and knock over
a orange pylon, go to instant reply and it will be knocked over
even when the play hasn't started yet. You knock the pylon over
at the end of the real play, but in instant replay, it is knocked
over even before the play started. This is cool. Acclaim just
probably looked over it.
Instant replay trick
Sent in by Jaron
During instant replay If there is a turnover, the offensive and
defensive positions under the players are messed up. A wide
receiver might be a LB or CB.
Get injured men to play
Sent in by Jaron
You can get injured men to play. All you have to do is when a
player gets injured right after that play, go to sub players
screen. Press the Reset All button and they're back in. It will
say there injured though.
Run faster
Sent in by Jaron
To run faster press A for a boost. Then, instead of waiting for
your meter to refill by itself, tap A repeatedly to hurry it along
and allow yourself to fill up the boost meter quicker than normal.
Credits glitch
Sent in by Jaron
Here's a glitch that you get when looking at the "credits" option
in QBC. If you notice, when you look at who developed the game,
it has Brette Farve as the first person, of course because he
endorsed the game. The thing is, it also shows the picture of
the person, and so Brette Farves picture was there. But now, after
creating my dream team for the Washington Redskins, I noticed
that when I went back, it was Gus Frerotte's picture in replace
of Brette's. What? This is what happens. I guess the game is
programmed to look at the starting quarterback on the Packers
when they show the picture in the development team staff credits.
So basically, you can have anyone take the place of Brette Farve
in the Staff credits, you just have to trade the person you want
with Brette Farve. While this glitch is obviously useless, it's still cool.
Field Goal tip
Sent in by Jaron
Having trouble making those Field Goals? Getting off terrible
Kick Offs? Making 20 yard Punts? If so, don't do them, let the
computer do them for you. Now while this may seem obvious
and basic to some, others might find this one of the most useful
tricks in the game. When you go to either kick a field goal, a kick
off, or punt, just switch your guy (bottom C button) to not be the
kicker. Then just press Z. The play will go on as usual, and you are
practically assured a good kick!
Creating your own players
Sent in by Jaron
This trick is for creating your own players. after you put in the
players name, weight, height etc. press "A" or "Start" and it will
take you to the attributes screen...if you look at the big green bar
at the top of the screen it isn't always filled up all the way,
therefore you have to cut back on some stuff but if you ant it to
be higher then all you have to do is press the "B" to take you
back to the previous screen and then press "A" again to take you
back to the attributes screen...the green bar will change..you can
do this trick as many times as you want until you have the amount
that you want.
Passing tip
Sent in by Jaron
When passing, make sure your guy isn't double or triple covered. If
he is, it doesn't really matter because you can still make the catch
and also may have pass interference called on them. Always go for
a catch just so the defense cant get an interception.
Run plays tip
Sent in by Jaron
Run plays - Try a QB sneak when only a yard or 2 is needed, also good
when you are on the one yard line and just want a touchdown. Always run
in the direction the ball is handed off to you ate, never switch directions,
this will slow you down and you may run into a few "friends" Try a spin
off move if someone gets close to you. Always spin off to the side and not
into or away from a guy because normally they will dive and get you if you
go those directions. Tap A for boost of speed until you are tackled or you
score a touchdown.
Defense tip
Sent in by Jaron
When playing defense, you can shift your linemen to the left or right
by pressing R or Z. It's always a good idea to do this because it makes
an easy sack. I always use the goal line plays whenever the opponent
is close or it is 3rd down. Goal line plays also make for an easy sack since
there are so many people at the line. May also want to tap A and try a spinoff
move every now and then to "break through" the people at the line.
Catching the ball tip
Sent in by Jaron
Catching the ball - Just stand on the X and wait for the ball to come.
While standing on the X hold the C-down button. Defense will sometimes
try to knock you down and make you lose the ball after you have touched
it, so be careful with this. There is no trick to avoid this that I am aware
of but it doesn't happen too often so no need to worry about it.
Kicking off tip
Sent in by Jaron
When kicking off, kick it as far as possible but do not move the
directional button unless you really need to. Sometimes the ball
may go out of bounds which will get an illegal procedure called
on you. Kick straight and far, after ball is kicked, run down the field
and tackle the other player. If you don't have much time left and you
are down, try kicking it very short then run into the player before they
get control of the ball for a sometimes easy fumble. This is very risky
and should not be tried unless needed.
Running tip
Sent in by Jaron
If you have the ball always tap A for a boost of speed and try to run
in a diagonal way to avoid being tackled. No, running diagonally does
not always work but it is a trick that I most often use when trying
to score a touchdown. Running "zig-zag" is also good trick which I
use to juke and avoide other players.
Punting tip
Sent in by Jaron
Always kick a punt far and out of bounds if you can. Kicking it out
of bounds will not let the opponent gain any yardage. If you don't
get it out of bounds, tackle the person as you would if doing a kick off.
Field Goal tip
Sent in by Jaron
Aim, fire. Be sure to check the wind and always put full power into
a field goal. Also, you may have to move the directional arrow some.
It all depends on wind and the spot where you are kicking the field
goal from.
