Walk behind the fence
Sent in by Taylor
To walk behind the fence, go all the way to the fence (as far as you can
go) and pause for about 1-2 seconds. You should now be behind the fence
(this trick only works for the outfielders).
Hit a Home Run
Sent in by Nate
When Griffey comes up to bat, You press the D-Pad 2 left 3 right then
2 left before the pitcher starts winding up. You will know that you did
it right when Griffey points his bat out like Babe Ruth. You will hit a
home run even if you would tap it normally, you will hit a homer. This
will not work in home run derby.
Pick off a runner at first
Sent in by Kyle Dowd
Here's a way to pick off a runner at first. The weird thing is, the out
isn't counted! With a runner on first, have the catcher throw to first
after a pitch. When the runner dives back safe, start hitting the A
button repeatedly. If you do it right, when the runner stands up and
steps off the bag, the first baseman will tag his feet. The scene will
change back to the catcher's view and there will no longer be a runner
on first. You don't get an out for it but at least the runner is gone!
Make your fielder fly
Sent in by Tyler
To make your fielder "fly" :
1. Stop a hit without catching it.
2. Then get your fielder to run to any base besides 1st.
3. Then throw it to the following bases in order: 1, 2, 3, H, 3, 2, H, 1, 2, 3,
H. When throwing to home the final time you should hear the audience.
4. On the following play get one of your fielders to dive, but instead of
them diving they will fly. Keep hitting "A" to make him use his hands,
and "B" to make him use his feet. Or the other way around, I can't remember!!!
Keep on pitching one of your pitchers in season
Sent in by B.J. Bierman
If you ever want to keep on pitching one of your pitchers in season?
All you got to do is put your pitcher in FREE AGENCY and get him back out!
Go home
Sent in by Dirt1069@aol.com
If you ever get a runner on third and first to score a run do this. Get
the defense to throw the ball to the catcher by running half way then
going back to third. When the catcher has the ball make the runner on
first go to second base. The catcher will throw to second. Right when
the man leaves first make the runner on third go home. The second
baseman will hold the ball until just before the runner from first
slides in. He'll always be safe. The runner from third will almost be
there making it a close play. Usually with you scoring. If they get you
at home don't try it again that game!
Make the batting circle disappear
Sent in by Colin Healy
To make the batting circle disappear, press Right C while pitching and keep
tapping Z. Keep doing this. The circle will disappear. No runner can be on
base, though.
Strike the computer out
Sent in by Stephen Rice
Place the cross hair anywhere in the strikezone except inside the
yellow hitting circle. Holding the cross hair where you want it, press Z
and then Left-, Right-, or Up-C to look at one of the bases. Release the
Z button first, then release the C-Button, bringing you back to looking at
the batter. There should now be no cross hair or hitting circle. Now
throw whatever pitch you want and the computer will swing and miss
or watch it go by for a strike. I suggest throwing change ups-so your
pitcher doesn't get as fatigued.
Nintendo and Angel Studios
Sent in by Stephen Rice
Highlight 'Exhibition' on the first baseball (menu) that pops up. Now
simultaneously press all four C buttons. Do this many times and you will
hear a beep. Then go to the All-Star teams and there will be two new
teams: Nintendo and Angel Studios. Key Nintendo executives are actual
players on the Nintendo team.
See the ending of the game
Sent in by Kyle Scott
Go to an Exhibition game and pick your teams. When picking the stadium
you want to play in, press all four C-Buttons many times. You will hear
a chime if you've done it correctly. Then press The Z-Button to view the
stadium. Instead of showing the stadium, you will get to see the ending
of the game, just as if you have just won the world series.
Batter Dance
Sent in by Code Hunter
At the pitch/bat screen, enter the following on the batter's Control
Pad: Up, Up, Down, Left, Left, Right, Right, Left, Left, Down, Up and Up.
The batter will boogie!
Pitcher Dance
Sent in by Code Hunter
At the pitch/bat screen, enter the following on the pitcher's Control
Pad: Up, Up, Down, Left, Left, Right, Right, Left, Left, Down, Up and Up.
Your hurler will throw some snazzy steps.
Hit a home run
Sent in by Code Hunter
This code will only work with Ken Griffey and on anything else but
Home Run Derby. When Griffey comes up to bat, press (on the D-Pad) Left,
Left, Right, Right, Right, Left, Left and Griffey should point to the stands
with his bat. And if you hit the very next pitch you'll hit a home run.
Allow nine of you fielders to fly
Sent in by Code Hunter
This trick will allow nine of you fielders to fly. After fielding a ball
on a play run to any base except first. Throw the ball around the bases
in this order: 1, 2, 3, H, 3, 2, H, 1, 2, 3, H. On the next play instead of
picking up the ball press A a couple of times and your fielder will jump
into the air, press B to "swim" around the stadium, but if you stay sill
for too long you will drop, then you can just press a again and start flying.
Blow up
Sent in by Code Hunter
This code must be entered quickly. When your batting press (on the
D-Pad) Right, Left, Down, Right, Left, Up, Right, Left, Down, and you
batter should blow up. Don't worry he will reappear the next pitch.
Have two strikeouts added to your total
Sent in by Code Hunter
When you are pitching, let the computer get a runner on. Then strikeout
the next batter, and as soon as the batter strikes out make the back
catcher throw the ball to the base that the runner is on. If this trick is
done correctly, you should have two strikeouts added to your total instead
of one. This trick does not work with two outs, so you can get up to
five strikeouts per inning.
See the opponent's pitching status and pitches
Sent in by Code Hunter
Press R on the second controller during a one player mode to see the
opponent's pitching status and pitches.
Title screen trick
Sent in by Code Hunter
At the title screen hold Z to make the baseball in the logo stop
spinning. Keep holding Z and then move the joystick to make the baseball
rotate however you like. It's a useless trick, but a fun one.
Shoot fireworks
Sent in by Code Hunter
When you get into the "View Stadium" mode by pressing the Z button while
choosing your stadium, you can shoot fireworks by pressing the Z and R
button at the same time. The fireworks shoot near home plate. This code
works in every stadium.
Find out where the other player is aiming his pitch
Sent in by Code Hunter
To find out where the other player is aiming his pitch, simply press and
hold bunt. The pitcher's target will appear and your bat will follow it.
Release bunt when the pitcher throws the ball and hit it normally. Don't
do this with a human player, as you are likely to get punched...
Griffey speaks
Sent in by Code Hunter
When a ball is hit in the air, run directly underneath it. Then just before
you catch it, press the jump button ('B'). If you catch it while in the air,
Griffey will say something like, "Look at the one handed grab!" or, "Great
play kid!" It's obvious you didn't make a good play.
Nintendo team and Angel Studios team
Sent in by Code Hunter
At the mode selection screen (Exhibition, Season, etc.) highlight
Exhibition.' Then press all 4 C's simultaneously about 10 times quickly.
When you hear a selection sound, you've entered the code correctly. Now
when you select your team (in exhibition) you may choose from the
Nintendo team and Angel Studios team.
View the credits
Sent in by Code Hunter
Here's a code that lets you view the credits that are shown after you
beat a World Series Championship Season! First select "Exhibition" mode
on the first screen. Then pick your teams. When you get to the stadium
select screen pick whatever stadium you want but don't press start.
Then press all four of the C buttons repeatedly until you hear a noise.
Its the same noise you hear when you select something on any of the
menus during the game. It may take any amount of presses even up to
50 button presses! Now press "Z" as if you were going to view the
stadium. Get ready to laugh as your selected team runs out of the
dugout and starts dancing, jumping, falling on the ground and many
other funny things. This trick will show the team you chose for the
SECOND Player.
