Traffic Troubles Strategy
Indianapolis - This first race is very easy. There are easy turns but
hard straight a ways which can make a 1st place Mickey Mouse go to
a 6th place Mickey Mouse. To keep this from happening, turn as little
as possible to keep your speed up.
San Francisco - This course has beautiful scenery but don't let it slow
you down! Many people believe that there are shortcuts between the
houses but there aren't. If you get a baseball or paint splocher wait
to use it in front of the arrows. It really helps!! Let me warn you about
the tight turns! They are hard but once you experience this track a couple
of times, you'll remember where they are (use R on your controller to help)
New Mexico - This twisty southwest track is a challenge to unexperienced
drivers. When on this track watch out for the huge hole in the ground by
the end of the track. While on New Mexico you'll get a lot of "paint splochers",
use these at the far sides of turns to spin out opponents.
Grand Canyon - This is the longest course in the game! Yes, finally there's
a course that has a shortcut! The shortcut is at the start of the uphill
straightaway. It won't give you a huge lead but every second counts!
Finally, remember to stay as close to the inside of the track as you can.
Motor Way Mania
Los Angeles - This course is extremely short! Stay to the inside of the
track on this course. Watch out for baseballs if you're in the lead. If you
don't start with a boost then you might as well just start over because
of the shortness of this course.
Alaska - Alaska, the now "course" of Midnight Sun is short like the course
before it (Los Angeles). The course has a point when the track splits. Stay
with the inside part and it'll save you some time.
Las Vegas - The bright light city course (Las Vegas) has many sharp turns
(again use R on the controller to help). If you get the Shield take the
shortcut through the desert dirt because it will not slow you down
but it will get you in 2nd or maybe even 1st place. When you see the
hole in the road I suggest you don't go over it unless you have a spritzer.
Philadelphia - This course is annoying! Here are some tips to prevent that:
First, make sure to get as many powerups as you can because they're
scarce. Second, stay as far away from the water as you can. Finally,
in the warehouse get the powerups that can determine 6th place
from 1st place.
Freewayphobia
Dakota - This course is super short! Although this course is short,
stay out of the mud or you'll be as slow as a turtle and that's not
good. If that should still happen there are some arrow pads to get
you back on track.
Seattle - The Emerald City Course (Seattle) takes you through the
junkyard, storm sewer, and parking garage. There is one little shortcut
after you get out of the parking garage which is to go up the ramp. If you
don't go up the ramp at full speed, the shortcut will turn into a longcut.
New York - N.Y.C. is pretty complicated! At the beginning of the course
there's a bridge taking you over some water. Be careful! The water can
slow you down big time! Finally, there's another shortcut. Take the right
road after the water and take a right when you see an opening. There'll
be a "?" at the top left-hand corner but that's O.K.
Chicago - This course has many turns and one shortcut. The shortcut
is after the huge arrow on the left side. There'll be another "?" but
that's O.K. Finally, there'll be a split in the road but you should take
the first tunnel that's on the right.
4 Car Parts
Indianapolis - In that level go through the first tunnel. At the end
of the tunnel make a sharp left. The part is kind of in indented on
the wall.
Philadelphia - When the track turns into a ship keep going straight.
You will get the part after make a sharp turn left to get back on course.
Chicago - When you're on this track you have to know where you're
going. Don't go up where the track splits after you go down the steep
drops. Instead, make a left but don't go right after that - keep going
straight to find the third car part.
Malibu - When you start go straight to where the water meets the
mountains and find the secret passage there. Go in and find the last
car part. Hint - You can quit right after and still have the car part.
