Easy 2 point conversion
Sent in by James Walker
To get an easy 2 point conversion you do a NICKEL, SHOTGUN, and QB SNEAK
and just run straight into the end zone as long as you don't take your time
and go straight for it this code should never fail.
More Punt Return Yards
Sent in by James Walker
When you think the other team is going to punt instead of picking a punt
return play you pick a field goal block play. (Down, C down, and either A,
B, or c down) Then when all the players are lined up you take the player
in the back (The person you first are) and run straight back like you were
going to get where the punt is going. When the other team punts the ball
let it go behind you and run for it when you get it there should be 2 players
from the opposing team right behind you. Keep running until they are right
next to each other then cut the opposite way you should be able to run the
whole way on either sideline for the touchdown if you do it right.
Make the returning team gain fewer yards
Sent in by Jeff
When kicking off you can make the returning team gain fewer yards.
When you have to kick off select the onside kick play. When you get
ready to kick, aim in the direction of all of your men. Don't kick it way
over that way, but just to where it stays in bounds. When the defender
receives the ball he will be all by himself to return into 10 of your
players, with only 1 or 2 of his own. If the wind is blowing hard this
isn't a very smart play.

See the winning sequences at the end of the game
Sent in by Dee
To see the winning sequences at the end of the game. Turn your N64
on and hold the L, R, and the Z buttons when the EA logo comes up.
You will now see some amazing endings. Also there is a hidden team.
To unlock the team go to season mode and then to front office. Select
create a player and then go to name. Enter "Tiburon" into the field and
then go down to continue. Save it and then go back to the main menu,
using the B button. Now go into exhibition mode and the team Tiburon
will be selectable.
Have a play where the ball hikes itself
Sent in by Code Hunter
This allows you to have a play where the ball hikes itself! You can only
do it with one player. First set the clock to 5-15 min quarters. Make
the computer be the team that you want to lose. Then at the coin toss
make sure you choose kick( or that the computer chooses receive). When
you are kicking choose the play onside left. When you line up to kick the
ball the computer should call an audible. Kick the ball and let the
computer get pretty far.(At least inside your, not their, 35 yard line.
Its o.k. if they don't but it's better the farther they get.) Then after
you tackle them but before the ref blows his whistle quickly pause the
game and go to controller select. Change yourself to be on the other
team. You should be the other team on the next play. When you are the
other team choose any play. When you line up to hike the ball call
audible b. (press B and B again) Everyone on the line should run away.
Call audible b again as soon as it lets you. Then hike the ball. It
should go shooting backwards. You usually can pick it up and run.
Make a player fly
Sent in by Code Hunter
When you are playing with two players in Madden 64, you can
make a player fly. To do so, have the 1st player start pressing B
to call audible as fast as they can. The 2nd player should press
jump (left c) as fast as they can. The 2nd player will eventually
jump continually on top of the screen. If you get him high enough,
the instant replay will also be really screwed up.
Dodge up to three defenders
Sent in by Code Hunter
When receiving a kick return, select the play A or "sideline". When you
receive the ball follow your blockers to the nearest sideline. As a
defender charges you continue running along the sideline until the
defender is right infront of you. Quickly cut in the opposite direction in
which you were going. The defender should dive and miss you if you do
this move correctly. Continue doing this move the entire distance of
the field when defenders come at you. Once you've gotten by most the
defenders run as fast as you can ducking your head to help gain speed.
This hint works most of the time for me. You can sometimes dodge up
to three defenders at a time. This hint works best in "Rookie" mode!
