Tip on the heart in Impa's House
Sent in by PlunX
There is a way to get the heart in Impa's House (In Kakariko Village)
without the help of the Owl or the Hookshot. Here's what you have to do.
As Child Link, come into Kakariko Village, and grab a cucco. Take the cucco
to the frame of the house that's being built (there's a Carpenter running on
one of the frames). You'll notice that there are some bricks in the very
center of the house being built. Also, there are two ledges on these stacks
of bricks. Careful throw the cucco onto the first (lowest) stack of bricks,
and then climb up and pick the cucco up. Now, VERY carefully throw the
cucco on top of the highest stack of bricks, and climb up and pick him up
on top of the stack. You must be fast while doing this, since the cucco
starts running about 3 or 4 seconds after you throw him. Remember,
these are the two stacks of bricks (they might look like red blocks), not
the frame of the house itself. Al right, now, you should be standing on top
of the highest stack of bricks, with the cucco in your hands. If you press Z,
you should have a clear view of the Carpenter running on the frame of the
house. Now, what you must do is fly (glide) with the cucco on top of the
frame (yes, it looks impossible, but it's a lot easier than it seems) while
dodging the Carpenter. If you wait too long on the frame, the Carpenter can,
and probably will knock you off. Luckily, the cucco stays on frame now and
then, and you can climb back up and hurriedly pick him up. Anyway, After you
press Z, you should see the Carpenter, and have a pretty good view of the
ledge that you must get to to get the heart. The best thing to do is way for
the Carpenter to run all the way over to the part of the frame that's to your
left, and glide onto the frame when he's running off. Now, while on the frame,
carefully run straight to the edge (closest to the ledge that you must get to
to get the heart, above the cucco pen) and glide off. You'll float with the cucco
all the way there. When you get there, it won't look like you made it on top,
but DO NOT PANIC. Keep holding up, or whatever button the makes you fly for
ward fast, until you hit what seems to be the edge of the ledge, and then
you should see Link standing on top of the ledge with the cucco. This can
be a lot of help if you're still Child Link, and you need that one last container
so that you can finally bear Dodongo's Cavern.
Big Poes tip
Sent in by Dave Ferneau
One of the Big Poes is awfully hard to kill if you don't know a secret. It's
the one that appears when you ride up to the railing overlooking the part
of Zora's River in front of Kakariko Village. It's practically impossible to
hit it with two arrows by simply riding straight up to it, as you can't move
any closer to the ghost, and the ghost hits the wall right away. To make him
stay long enough to get him, back into the overhang, and the Poe will appear
in front of you--in the opposite direction of Kakariko Village! This is because
Poes always appear directly in front of you. Now you have to start Epona
forward quickly and catch up with the Big Poe, but it's much easier than
the other way. You can try tricks like this to help you capture some other
Big Poes that tend to appear in front of walls.
Skulltulas tip
Sent in by Andrew
Having trouble getting all 100 skulltulas? Try putting a bug (the kind
you catch in a bottle) on the soft spots in the ground where you plant
the magic beans. There are 10.
1. Zora's River--Right beside bean salesman
2. Kokiri Forest--Towards the back, behind the store
3. Lost Woods--Screen where Forest Stage is
4. Lost Woods--Enter forest, go left(past skull kid), then down
5. Kakariko Village Graveyard--Left, bottom corner where the graves are
6. Death Mountain--near the entrance to Dodongo's Cavern
7. Death Mountain Crater--Near the warp point
8. Lake Hylia--beside Lakeside Labratory
9. Gerudo Valley--fall down the cliff...all the way to the bottom
(on the right). It's behind the lady with the cow
10. Desert Colossus--Near the bottom left corner of where the Spirit
Temples' stone steps begin
Fire Temple tip
Sent in by Andrew
Fire Temple--having trouble getting to the 5th floor, right side? See the
pillar, and where the fairy turns green? Play the scarecrow's song!
Get a fairy
Sent in by Andrew
Death Mountain--See where Navi turns green right beside the flag pole
near Goron City? Play the sun's song and you'll get a fairy.
If you catch a butterfly on the end of a stick, it will become a fairy?
Get quivers
Sent in by Andrew
Gerudo's Fortress--Go to the shooting gallery with Epona. Score over
1500 points and get a quiver that holds 40 arrows!
Kakariko Village-- after you've gotten the 40 arrow quiver, go to the
Shooting Gallery...get a perfect score, and he will give you the largest
quiver, which holds 50 arrows!
Golden Scale
Sent in by Andrew
Lake Hylia-- enter the fishing pond as an adult. Catch a fish over 10
pounds...you will get the Golden Scale...which gives you an 8 count
dive underwater!
Mask tip
Sent in by Andrew
Having trouble figuring out which masks go to who?
Fox (Keaton)-- Soldier who gave you entrance to Death Mtn.
Skull Mask--give to Skull Kid (left as you enter lost woods)
Spooky Mask--give to kid playing in graveyard
Bunny Hood--find a man running around the path in Hyrule field...I
suggest waiting where the visible, dirt-worn path is about halfway
between Hyrule Town and Lon Lon Ranch. Give the mask to the runner.
Skulltulas prizes

you get near a secret entrance or treasure chest
30- Giant's Wallet--holds 500 rupees
40- 10 Bombchu

Six chickens
Sent in by Andrew
Want to know where to find all six chickens?
1. Out in front of the village entrance
2. Hidden in crate beside head carpenter's house
3. On opposite side of house of Skulltula- hit with slingshot
4. Near the exit of the village, either near the graveyard or
Death Mt. I'm not sure.
5. Over the fence near the windmill. To get over there...get a chicken.
Take it, and throw it on the crate beside the windmill. Climb up onto
the crate...grab the chicken, and jump onto the fence. Strattle the fence,
then jump off, and aim for the house over the fence...you should make it. #5
is right there...in plain view...throw it over the fence...but don't leave yet!
6. Climb up the ladder that leads onto the ledge that surrounds the
windmill. The chicken is on the left side.
10 giant poes
Sent in by Andrew
All 10 giant poes...you must be on the horse to find them. They aren't
aggressive and are a headache to catch. The are all in Hyrule Field. Also,
you MUST be an adult to ride the horse.
1. On the path from Hyrule Field to Lon Lon Ranch.
2. Past the castle, where the river divides the land in the bottom RIGHT
corner of the map...opposite of Kakariko Village.
3. Near a gray stone, which is near the entrance to Kokiri Forest.
4. Hop over the fence past the gray rock, and go upwards towards Lon Lon Ranch.
5. Go to the ledge on the left side (facing Kakariko Village) of Lon Lon Ranch.
6. The ledge just ABOVE the entrance to Kakariko Village...back into it.
7. Near Gerudo Valley- near the green tree.
8. Also near Gerudo Valley, facing (NOT on top of) the ledge.
9. Grove of bushes near Lake Hylia, the side closest to Gerudo Valley.
10. BIG grove of bushes and trees...I believe either before Gerudo
Valley (way before) on the left, or after (way after) lake hylia on the right.
Beating Giant Aquatic Amoba MORPHA
Sent in by Link Encyclopedia
The "Giant Aquatic Amoba MORPHA" in the Water Temple is easy to beat
if you follow these steps: (If you have the Biggoron's Sword the battle will
be much quicker.)
1. First step on one of the four platforms in the center of the boss arena.
2. Then as soon as the boss shows its self run to one of the four corners
of the boss arena.
3. Go as far as you can into the corner of your choice then use your up C-button
to look at the water in the boss arena.
4. This boss causes the water in the center of the arena to swell into tendrils
that will search for you and throw you against the walls, but when you stand in
the corner the tendrils will not be able to reach you.
5. The nucleus will travel into the tendril, whale in the tendril Z-target the nucleus
and use the longshot to reel the nucleus to you.
6. When you reel in the nucleus the tendril will not be able to hold itself together
so it will fade away.
7. Whale still Z-targeting the nucleus take your sword out (if you got it the
Biggoron's sword.) and give the tendril a good slash with your sword, and if
you can manage it use a jump attack.
8. After you hit the nucleus it will retreat to the center pool, so you retreat
to that corner you were in.
9. Then turn to face the center pool, the nucleus will attack in the same
manner as it did at first.
10. Sometimes the nucleus will stay in the water and make more than one
tendrils, don't panic, just stay there and try to Z-target it as soon as you do
start shooting your longshot at it when you get it give it a good wack with your sword.
11. Repeat steps 3-9 and 10 when needed until that "Giant Aquatic Amoeba
MORPHA" is defeated.
Get magic jars, hearts, and bombs
Sent in by Josh Miller
Go to the drawbridge at night (as a kid). Stand on the big stone fence thingie
next to the closed bridge, facing the moat. The Stalchildren (the skeletons) will
appear in the water and instantly die. This will give you magic jars, hearts, bombs,
etc. You can do this till sunrise.
Unlimited rupees
Sent in by NiNtEnDo pLaYa
When you learn the suns song and can travel through time become a child and go
to Hyrule Castle during the day. Stand on the edge of the bridge and play the suns
song. When the bridge goes up try to stay on the top of it when it gets all the way
up you get a red rupee then fall into the castle go into the room where you get
unlimited rupees get them all and go back out and play the suns song again then
go outside the castle again and do it again as many times as you want.
Infinite Gold Skulltulas
Sent in by JRB
To get infinite Gold Skulltulas, go to the castle courtyard. At the drawbridge that
would enter the castle itself, turn right like you would be going into the castle
through the secret entrance. Then, in the right hand corner of the fence there
should be a tree with a few bushes in front of it. If you play the Song of Storms
right by it, a hole should open in the ground. If you go in, there should be three
bombable walls. If you bomb them there should be a Gold Skulltula in one of them.
Kill it but don't take the token. Then save your game so if you mess up, you can
quit without saving and try again. Then, position yourself right in front of the
pad that takes you back out. Then, Z-target the token. Throw your boomerang
at it. Right about when the boomerang hits the token, do a back flip onto the pad.
You should get the token as you are going out. Don't save until you go back into
the hole and check something. When you go in, the Skulltula should still be there,
but the token you got will still count. If it doesn't work, quit without saving and
try again. Save your game after every successful try.
A few locations of a gold rupee
Sent in by Link Freak
Goron city --- On the top floor, bust the three rocks with the megaton
hammer and continue to the left. There will be a long hallway that curves.
At the end, there will be a room with tons of rocks in it. Destroy the
reddish rocks and find paths. There are three chests in there. Two on
either side of a gossip stone with 50 rupees in them, and one by itself
with 200 rupees in it.
Entrance to Goron City --- Near the entrance to Goron City, Death Mountain
Trail, there will be a square platform with a circle of rocks. Play the
song of Storms and a hole will appear. Go inside, open the treasure, and
get the 200 rupees.
Kakariko Village --- About 10 - 15 steps from the tree you first see when
you enter the village, place a bomb. (If you have the stone of agony, you
might feel the rumble, I'm not sure) Inside is a gold Rupee.
Make lots of money from the mask
Sent in by Voodoochile21
When you are trying to sell the last mask to the runner, just jog with him
for a while. Then put on the bunny hood and pull out your ocarina. Play the
Sun Song, and it should turn night time, and he will stop. Then you can talk
to him, and he will buy the mask for a huge amount of money!
Hidden chicken
Sent in by ZeldaFanatic
Ever been in Kaikiriko Village by the windmill as an adult and wondered
where that chicken sound came from. Well your in luck, here it is. Get on
the roof with the longshot that has the man who gives you a heart. Look
at the windmill and you should see an opening and a brown thing. Hook
onto it and climb the stairs and....WAH LAH!! There is a chicken for your
enjoyment. The chicken doesn't do anything special or bring you
anywhere special. But, you can go anywhere you want with it.
Get to the guy on top of the roof with out the Long Shot in Kakariko Village
Sent in by Michael
When you reach Kakariko Village, go directly to the windmill hut. Face
the door but don't go in yet. When you face the door turn around and you
should see a fence. Climb on it and walk to a comfortable spot on the
fence so you can reach the roof where the guy is with your normal
hookshot. Shoot the roof with the hookshot, then it should shoot you up on
to the roof. Walk towards the guy and he should give you a heart piece!
Get a brown horse
Sent in by Michael Daniels
You can get the brown horse instead of Epona!!! When your at lon-lon
ranch, just hop on the brown horse, pay Ingo, and race him. You have
to squeeze by him on one of the turns, and it's very hard, but it works.
The downside? Brownie is very slow. She goes as fast as Epona walks
when you use all the carrots.
Music after dark
Sent in by Cameron Tidd
During the day, go to Gerudo's Fortress. Go to Gerudo Valley, then back
to Gerudo's Fortress. Now play the Sun's Song. Normally, it wouldn't
play the Gerudo theme at night, but now, it is! Exit the 3D World of
Gerudo's Fortress to make it stop.
Courtyard trick
Sent in by Jon
In the courtyard where you meet Zelda, go to the window on the right.
There should be pictures of Mario, Yoshi, Bowser and some other Nintendo
Characters hanging on the wall. If you shoot a Deku Seed from your
slingshot at this window you will get a red rupee (20 rupee's). If you go
to the window on the right of the courtyard and shoot a Duku Seed from
your slingshot at the window a soldier will come out and tell you not
to cause trouble and throw a bomb at you.
What do you do to get back in time to a child after you are an adult?
Sent in by Duade Borg
Once you are an adult, the only way to become a child again is to pass
the Forest Temple. Once you have defeated the Temple, return to the
Temple of Time, enter the Door of Time (Where you first got the Master
Sword) and you will see Sheik. She will teach you the Ocarina melody
"Prelude of Light", which will enable you the return to the Temple of
Time any time by playing it. She will throw one of those things onto
the ground (you know, the one that makes a big light and then she
disappears) and then you walk up to the pedistal where the Master
Sword was held. You press A, and there is a small cut scene, where
Link takes out the Master Sword, turns the blade down, and strikes it
back into the pedistal. At that time, a blue light surrounds the pedistal
and Link, and the screen turns white. When Link
reappears he will be a
child again, walk out of the Temple of Time and back to the market. It
will be a thriving place again, with people laughing and children
playing. Make sure you talk to the people dwelling in the market, as
they will give you information on the disappearance of Princess Zelda.

The Scarecrow Song: As young Link, find the two scarecrows in Lake
Hylia. Play any combination of buttons (easy to remember) for the
scarecrow who wants to travel. play the exact same thing for the
scarecrow who claims to have a great memory, and he promises to
remember it. Come back as adult Link, and play the song for that
scarecrow again. Then, whenever you play it the other scarecrow
will probably show up, to use your hookshot on. NOTE: This will not
show up on your screen that shows your songs, but it will say "You

Whenever you see a gossip stone play Zelda's Lullaby, Epona's Song,
or Song of Storms and a red fairy will appear. You can either catch
it in a bottle so it can revive you when you die or let it touch you
so that it can refill your energy on the spot.
On the Pause menu, there is only 12 slots for ocarina songs. But, there
is a way to make your own song as a kid, and get it as the thirteenth
song as an adult.
As a child, stop at Lake Hylia and look around for the scarecrows. Talk
to the one on the bottom, and then take out your fairy ocarina. Play a
simple song for him (something easy to remember, like LRLRLRLR)
and memorize it.
As an adult, go to Lake Hylia and find the scarecrow again. Take out
the Ocarina of time and play the same song you played as a child, if
you remember it. Whatever song you played will be set as 'The
Scarecrow Song.' When you play this song in certain locations, Pierre
(the other scarecrow) will pop up. He doesn't do or say anything, but if
you target him with your Hookshot or Longshot, you can pull yourself up
to wherever he is.
This song won't appear on a slot on the Pause menu, but it will say 'You
played the Scarecrow song!' on the screen if you use your Ocarina to play
it. Although it might not sound so great now, if you don't get this song,
you don't stand a chance of getting all the Gold Skulltulas in the Fire Temple.
Get fairies over and over
Sent in by Vincent
Need fairies, here is your answer. While you are child Link go to the
bean salesman and get some beans. (You should get more than one so you
don't have to go back every 5 min.) After that go and plant it in some soft
soil. After watching the cinema of the plant growing play the song, "Song
of Storms." After that the plant will get taller and spit three fairies out.
Do this over and over again.

Enter the buildings in the game past closing time
Sent in by Sean Kelly
First you have to learn the Sun's Song which changes day to night and
Vice-Versa. To do the trick enter the building during the time it is open.
The play the Sun's Song to switch the time of day. An example is Talon
and Malon's house on Lon Lon Ranch. In their house at night time, Talon
is sleeping like usual however he won't wake up this time. Try it in
different places and see what happens.
Get your own dog
Sent in by Zelda's-biggest-fan
To get your own dog, you have to go to the area that you enter right before
you enter the market at night. To do this, you must play the sun song in
the market. you will be transported to the area that you entered from.
Make your way to the entrance area (right before you enter the market).
You will see a dog running around. Play Epona's song for him and he will
follow you around. Go next to the closed gate and play the suns song
again. Then presto, the dog follows you around during the day. He only
follows you around while your in the market.
36 pound fish
Sent in by Paul Nicholson
To catch a 36 pound fish, when your an adult go you the fishing pond at
night and look for a school of snake-like fish, that looks kind of small
(but they are not). It should be close to shore, use the sinking lure near
the Bunch or snake-like fish and then they should all go after it if you
throw it in the center, If you use the regular lure they will run away
from it. Once you catch it, and bring it to the guy to weigh it. The guy
will say "Wow!!! This fish is huge, But you can't keep it because it is
endangered so you have to put it back."
500 rupees in Zora's domain
Sent in by Tyler Young
If you want the BEST rupee that is worth 500 rupees do this! Be a kid
and go to Zora's domain. Do the diving game until you get the silver
scale. After that go do it again and you get to play for money. He
throws random amounts and values of rupees out that are usually blue
and green BUT after a few dozen tries he throws out some BIG rupee! I
know it's good because I had 12 rupees before I got it and after I got
it, it went all the way to 500!!!!! (You have to have the giant wallet first.)
Get into the fenced off area
Sent in by Joe Roadenbaugh
In Kakariko Village, you can still get into the fenced off area by the
potion shop, as young link! Here's how: Climb to the top of the tall
viewing tower next to the fenced off area. At the top face link toward
the side of the tower where you climbed up, to the right of the ladder.
Hold down the Z button and step backwards, so that Link is facing
forwards, standing with his right hand side against the right railing
of the tower. Still holding Z, press right and A, so that link does a right
side flip off the tower. If done right, link will land on top of the fence
then you will be able to hop down into the fenced off area, or if you
stay on the fence you can get onto the rooftop and talk to the man on
the roof for the heart piece.
Locations of all ten Big Poes
Sent in by Longbow
Here's the locations of all ten Big Poes in Hyrule Field (They are in
Hyrule Field only).
1) The first one is located in front of Hyrule Castle. Run with Epona
towards Lon Lon Ranch from the gate and one should appear.
2) Next is going south near Gerudo Valley. Go to the right of the white
tree and get back on the road to Lake Hylia. One should appear under
the cliff of the entrance.
3) Same place as #2, but don't go around the tree. Just stay on the
path and one should appear (Only one appears at a time).
4) There is a stone wall near Lon Lon Ranch (not the one connecting
to the ranch; its towards the east). Stand at the corner and one
should eventually appear.
5) Near the east of Lon Lon Ranch (There's got to be a connection), there
is a fork in the road separated by a silver rock. From the north, go to
the left of the rock and through the fence's opening. One should appear.
6) In the east of Hyrule Field, there is a clump of trees south of the
Kokiri Forest entrance. Weave through the trees to find at least one Big Poe.
7) There is also one if you go to the right of the white tree on the path
from Kokiri Forest to Hyrule Castle. One should appear
8) In that same clump of trees as #6, there is a white tree at the far
west. Go west and to the right of that tree. One should appear.
9) In the west of Hyrule Field, there is a short stream near a part of
Hyrule Castle. Go to the stream, find a white tree, and go to the left
of it. One should appear.
10) This one's impossible to find if you don't know what you're looking
for!! There is a small cliff to the south of the entrance to Kakariko
Village. Take Epona, go on top of the cliff, ride right up next to the
railing, get your fairy bow ready. One pops out from under you and
starts running. Take good aim and shoot it twice before it hits the
wall and disappears. You will only have about two seconds.
Remember you can have more than one chance at this, but you need to
start from a point way away from where the Big Poe appears. When you
catch them, sell them at the Ghost Shop for 50 rupees and 100 points
on your card. Catch 1000 points' worth of Big Poes, and you'll receive
the fourth bottle! Good hunting. And don't try to cheat with small
Poes because it won't work!
Spin-slash attack
Sent in by Banjo
At the top of Death Mountain, you learn the spin-slash attack for your
sword, which consumes MP. The Great Fairy there also mentions an
alternate way to perform this attack. Quickly rotate the analog stick
in a clockwise motion, then hit B. You should, if you timed it right,
perform a spin-slash attack without using any MP, or ever having
to charge up.

Big Lunker
Sent in by Goosey
If you want to catch a big "Lunker" at the fishing game follow these steps.
1. Spot the biggest fish in the pond (Its usually by the log and not moving
very much).
2. Cast out your line so it is a little bit past the fish of your choice.
3. Tap left and right on the control stick so the lure will shake and
turn violently. This is the best way to get a "Lunker" to Bite the lure.
4. Once you've snagged it, hold A. While holding A Hold the L shoulder
button for about 2 seconds then release it for another 2 seconds. Repeat
this till you've lured in your fish. Using this method, I caught a 16 pound
fish as Adult link with out any trouble!
Tip on the treasure chest game

In the treasure chest game at night in the market when you are a kid, you
are able to use the Lens of Truth on the boxes to see what's in each one.
Ice arrows

The ice arrows are in the Gerudo Training Grounds (The big treasure).
Remember to look for chests with the Lens of Truth and be sure to have
the Silver Gauntlets.
Hidden stuff in the Lost Woods
Sent in by Longbow
There is a stage in a hole somewhere in the Lost Woods that, if you show
off a mask there, the little octoroks (or Scrubs as they are now called)
will give you stuff, like rupees, a heart container, the ability to pick up
more Deku Sticks, and attacking you!
200 rupees from the Skull Boy
Sent in by Longbow
For those who want to get rich quick, go back to where the Skull Boy
was when you were a kid as an adult (The carpenter's son needs to go
away). The Skull Boy will be there, however, he HATES adults and will
begin to attack you with darts from his flute. Use only normal slashes
with your sword to kill him, no charged swings, no hammer, no arrows,
no anything other than normal bow slashes. Hit him (it) five times and he
will die, and he leaves behind a huge rupee (200 rupees)!
Lost Woods directions
Sent in by Longbow
The pattern to get through the Lost Woods to the Sacred Forest Meadow
is: Right, Left, Right, Left, Forward, Left, Right.
Forest Stage tips
Sent in by Longbow
The way to get to Forest Stage I from the Sacred Forest Meadow entrance
is: Left, Right, and then Right again. Search around the tall grass and
you'll fall into a hole. The sign down there will say "Forest Stage; We
are waiting to see your face! Win fabulous prizes!" Three masks give
you something other than rupees or nothing; The Mask of Truth: The
scrubs will babble for a minute, then they will suddenly go back into
the ground! Go to the ancient scrub towards the right and he will say
"My friends say that your face looks horrible. But don't be discouraged,
here's something that can cheer you up!" They will then give you a heart
piece! The next mask is the Skull Mask. They will talk about you and
then suddenly jump up from the ground and dance around you, it's
hilarious! They lead you to the ancient scrub and he says "My friends all
agree; you look just like the Sacred Totem Pole that we worship!" He
will then give you the ability to pick up 30 Deku Sticks! The third and
least important mask is the Zora Mask (Sell off the first four masks
first). The scrubs will attack you! There are about 12 of them, and they
are all invincible!
Biggest quiver
Sent in by Longbow
Score 1,500 points in the horse archery range and you will receive the
biggest quiver, which holds up to 50 arrows!
Big Poe tip
Sent in by Longbow
I have killed all but one Big Poe so far (my card has 900 points). Remember
to go through bushes or around trees or rocks to make them appear, and
don't let them get away!
Take half the normal damage
Sent in by Longbow
Outside Ganon's Palace, there is a huge block along the path to the
Great Fairy's Fountain at the Dead End. Get the Golden Gauntlets (Yes,
there is such thing!) from the Shadow Block inside the castle, and lift
that huge block when you get back to it. The Great Fairy inside gives
you the ability to take half the normal damage that an enemy will give
you!
All of the Great Fairy Fountains
Sent in by Longbow
1) There is one at the Dead End near Hyrule Castle (When you're a kid). Blow
up the stone there and it should reveal a passage to a Great Fairy's
Fountain. The Great Fairy there gives you Farore's Wind.
2) One is at the top of Death Mountain. Bomb the left passage and it
reveals a Great Fairy's Fountain. The one there gives you Din's Fire.
3) There is one inside the Death Mountain Crater. Use the path in
Darunia's room and turn to the right and go across the bridge (You need
the Megaton Hammer to destroy the Red Stones there). Once you destroy
those stones, go inside. The Great Fairy there will double your magic ability!
4) There is one in the Desert Colossus. Between the two palm trees, there
is a crack in the wall. Bomb it! It reveals a path to yet another Great Fairy's
Fountain. The one there gives you the all-important Nayru's Love.
5) The last one is near Ganon's Castle. Go down the path, through the now
destroyed gate, and there is a funny-looking silver block at the Dead End
(You must have the Golden Gauntlets to lift it). Once removed, go inside
the path to the Great Fairy's Fountain. The Fairy in there gives you the
most important thing in the game---the ability to double your defence!
6) At the east point of Zora's Fountain. Either bomb it or use the
hammer, I forgot, but that's the fountain where you find Farore's Wind.
The one near Hyrule Castle gives you the Magic Spin for your sword.
Plant trick
Sent in by ZeldaFanatic
When you see a plant, slice it and it will give you what ever your short
on. If you wait a while longer the bush should reappear and give you
what ever you are short on. (Note, some places this won't work e.g.
Hyrule Castle.)
Ocarina tip
Sent in by Adrock
Your Ocarina is not limited to 5 notes. Hold Z and you will play lower
notes (as if you were holding the bottom hole on a real ocarina), and
using the control stick will alter the pitch and moderation of your notes.
By mastering these techniques you can play your favorite songs!
Spider Web
Sent in by Chris
To break through the Spider Web at the bottom of the Deku Tree you
have to climb to the very top level and do a jump attack off one of
the edges. If you land on the web you will break through. When you
are at the bottom, step on the little thing to make the torch light up.
Then use a deku stick as a torch. When you get it on fire, go to the
other area with land and set the spider web on fire that is in the corner.
Then just go through the door.
Finding the sword
Sent in by Chris
In case you didn't know (it gave me trouble at first) the sword can be
found at the training hill. Go up and you will find a small hole in the
wall. Walk up and press A to enter it. Then dodge the rolling rock and
go left then make a right and go straight. Open the chest and there it is.
Fire arrows
Sent in by UWS
To get the fire arrows, beat the third level as an adult. Then shoot for
the sun in the morning while standing on the plaque above the level.
Swordless trick
Sent in by Netman
First, go to the second battle against gannondorf.... where he hits the
master sword out of your hand. Right after he does this, save your game.
Then reset. When you come back there will be no sword equipped. This
gives you a plethora of options, including riding epona with items.
After doing the swordless link trick above, you can do this... This is a
little more complicated, by the basics is this. Get on epona, and ride
down to Gerudo Valley. Get out your long shot while still on epona.
Then use the longshot on the pole above the bridge. Then press "return",
and link should be grappled on the pole.
Ending add-on
Sent in by Netman
If after you beat the game you know how you see the credits and at the
very end you see Zelda as a kid and Link as a kid. Then the game freezes
and says the end. If you wait about 4 or 5 minutes you will hear your
scarecrow song on the ocarina and then on harp Sheik plays! Its pretty
cool but you have to wait awhile.
Fix a sign
Sent in by Mr. T
If you accidentally slice a sign with your sword, play "Zelda's Lullaby"
and the sign will fix itself.
Bottle trick
Sent in by Leon Taing
If you change something like your Deku Nuts to a bottle and want
them back all you have to do is buy some Deku Nuts from a shop or
Business Scrub or you can find them all over Hyrule. This trick works
with all items that can be collected (Deku Nuts, Magic Beans, bombs,
arrows, etc.). Also, if you change the Claim Check to a bottle, you
can't use it as a child.
Hidden green potion
Sent in by Leon Taing
This is just a simple trick. Does everyone remember where they first
found the Fire Arrows? Stand on the island in Lake Hylia near to the
inscription that hints at how to receive the Fire Arrows. Wait for the
morning sun to be rising over the horizon, then shoot a normal arrow
over the island in the distance and into the sun, just like what you did
to get the Fire Arrows, and one of those small green potions will
drop down that will partially recover your magic meter.
Big fairy tips
Sent in by Leon Taing
There are numerous locations of "big" fairies in Zelda. They look
almost exactly like normal red fairies, except they glow slightly
more, and look like a hovering pink globe without wings rather than
the typical fairy. The purpose of these fairies are to refill both your
magic meter and heart containers. Unfortunately, they cannot be
caught in bottles, probably because of their size.
Whenever Navi turns green and you can't seem to find the reason, it
is probably because there is big fairy hidden there. Usually you will
need to play a specific song for the fairy to appear, and it will appear
just like a chest does in a dungeon! If you find one not mentioned here
(I didn't even begin to describe where some are in dungeons) then play
every non-teleporting song you have. Here are just some locations of
these "big" fairies in the overworld:
1. Anywhere! -- Find a Gossip Stone and play the Song of Storms for one
to appear.
2. Lost Woods -- Near the shortcut to Zora's River play the Song of
Storms. Navi should turn green at the shore of the small pool of water
with the underwater shortcut.
3. Hyrule Field -- At the small pond that is formed by the river branch
that does NOT go to Zora's River. If you entered Hyrule Field from
Kokiri Forest it would be a little ways to the right. Play the Song of
Storms once again on the shore of the water where Navi turns green.
4. Death Mountain Trail -- At the red flag on the trail to Goron City play
the Song of Storms for a big fairy to appear.
5. Lake Hylia -- On the small island in Lake Hylia where you get the
Fire Arrows. This time play the Sun's Song for the big fairy to appear.
Hidden item shop in Ganon's Castle
Sent in by Leon Taing
If your having trouble in Ganon's Castle, follow my instructions to
find a hidden and very useful item shop. First, go to the lower level
in the main room. Next, put on your Lens of Truth and hug the circular
wall. You will eventually find a space in the wall. Go inside and there
are fairies flying around and Deku scrubs selling potions. Make sure
you catch the fairies with your bottles. Then, when you die, they'll fill
all your hearts and bring you back to life.
Secret cave in Zora's Fountain
Sent in by Wally
This trick allows you to get into a secret cave in Zora's Fountain. First
of all, go to Zora's Fountain, and stand on the iceberg where Lord
Jabu-Jabu used to live. Using the Up C Button, look to the right on the
wall, and you should see an opening in the wall. Dive into the water,
then swim over to the island that has a cave leading to Goron City. You
should see a grey boulder. Use you Golden Gauntlets to lift the boulder,
than throw it. An opening will appear. Fall down into the opening, then
put on your Lens of Truth. defeat the Skulltulas, the head up the slope to
defeat the last Skulltula. You are now in the opening you saw from
the iceberg.
Jump onto a mountian
Sent in by Wally
When you are an Adult, have the longshot and the hoverboots, go to
Kakariko Village. Put on the hoverboots and longshot yourself on
top of the building where the guy sits. Then aim at the Windmill
and you will see a wooden thing. Aim at that. Then walk up to the top
of the windmill. There is a chicken. Grab it and float on to the roof of
the shooting gallery. Then float on to the Impa's House (Chicken Barn).
Go to the top and run left towards the mountain. Jump and you'll make it
onto a mountain! I tried to jump to the other side. I had the distance, but
it wouldn't let me get on.
Bottle tip
Sent in by Wally
If you're having trouble in the Forest Temple reflecting Phantom
Gannon's magic with your sword try using an empty bottle. Its a little
bit easier to time your swing with a bottle than it is with the sword
and it works just as well. It might also work with the witches in the
Desert Colossus. It follows the tradition in Zelda
games, remember
using the shovel to defeat the final boss in Link's Awakening or the
bug net on Gannon in the Super NES
Zelda. You can also use this to
defeat Gannondorf.
Bomb and gossip trick
Sent in by Wally
Set a bomb right next to a gossip stone and wait a second. Then it will
turn blue a couple of times then it will turn red and it will launch off like
a rocket! Unfortunately it wont come down.
Magic beans tip
Sent in by Wally
As young Link, after you have planted magic beans in the special soft
soiled spots, you can play the Song of Storms to make the little sprouts
grow into a tall stalk. As it grows three fairies will appear which you
can either catch it in a bottle so it can revive you when you die or let it
touch you so that it can refill your energy on the spot.
Hidden items in trees
Sent in by Wally
When you see a tree, start running towards it and right before you get
to it press A. This makes you roll, and when you roll you hit the tree
hard and items can fall out of the tree. Different things will fall out
like hearts, deku nuts, rupees, etc. Sometime even a Gold Skulltula
will fall out!
Cast bais and still walk around
Sent in by Wally
You can only do this trick if you are adult Link
and have the Hover Boots.
First pay the man to go fishing, then put on the Hover Boots. Walk up to
the edge of the water, take a few steps into the water and press B
before the boots stop hovering. It will cast the bait but you will still
be able to walk around. You can also catch fish by using this trick.
Turn a bottle into your Ocarina
Sent in by Code Hunter
To turn a bottle into your Ocarina, follow these easy steps:
1. Take out a bottle.
2. Swing the bottle through the air (make sure you don't catch anything
in it or the trick won't work).
3. Just as the bottle is in mid-swing press start and go to the item screen.
4. Switch the bottle you have out for your ocarina.
The bottle will still be in your hand but when you go to play the Ocarina Link
will put the bottle up to his mouth and it will turn into an Ocarina. Then when
you put away your Ocarina, it will turn back into a bottle you can keep doing
this as many times as you want.
Coccos magically disappear
Sent in by Code Hunter
Go to Kariko village and go up to any cuco that is wandering around. If
you are an adult and don't want to go back in time, just use your longshot
to get the Cuco in the top of the wind mill. Hit the Cucco until he gets
mad and calls his buddies. As soon as the other Coccos come, head for
the well. Once you're at the bottom, you should hear the angry Coccos,
and if you look up with C-Up, you should see a bunch of Coccos coming
down the well, but if you look at the floor, there will be no Coccos
around. They magically disappear!! Good luck getting back up out of the
well, by the time you get half way up they'll come and knock you down.
Fix half a sign
Sent in by Code Hunter
Go to the sign in Gerudo Valley near the edge and at least half of the sign
should fall off of the cliff. Like normal, play Zelda's Lullaby. The sign
will repair itself, but only partly; half of it will remain missing. Once
the song/repair is complete, you will no longer be able to read the sign.
Keep the mask on
Sent in by Code Hunter
After becoming an adult, go back to the Temple of Time and be a kid
again. Then, put on any mask and warp with the Master's sword. You
should notice the mask will stay on even as the animation is going on!!
Stop the timer
Sent in by Code Hunter
It is possible to stop the timer for a few seconds in the second race
against Dampe. This trick can be done by playing warp songs while
you are racing. The game will tell you that you cannot warp here,
but you will be able to run while it says this and even a second or 2
after. You can do this as many times as you want.
Geting gold skulltulas out of the dirt patches
Sent in by Code Hunter
This trick is useful when trying to get the gold skulltulas out of the
dirt patches, but can never find bugs to do it. The first thing you must
do is find a bug (find under rocks in the first tree when you enter
Hyrule Castle) Then when you have a bug, go drop it on a dirt patch.
As you now three bugs will come out. But don't let them all dig into
the ground. Catch one before it goes under (You will still make the
gold skulltula come out) If done right, you will still have a bug. The best
part is you will still have three!!!
Cuccos trick
Sent in by Code Hunter
This trick works only while your an adult and ON (not OFF, or you'll get
killed) Epona. Anyway, after getting Epona, go back to Lon Lon Ranch
(preferable after you wake Talon and tell him the whereabouts of Malon),
then after you enter the ranch with Epona, go to the beginning of the
ranch's field, and turn left, you'll see about 5 cuccos there, while you're
still on you steady stallion, Epona, ram a cucco until it does it's war cry
and summons all of its friends. After this, you'll see about 5 more
cuccos flying from nowhere trying to kill you, But they cant!!! If you
ride around while the cuccos are perusing you, you can witness this huge
flock of blood-lusty cuccos after you. If you stop and turn around, you can
see all the birds flying by you, and then they turn around and chase you again.

Go to a drop off and get a useless item (like a fish in a bottle) and put it
on the bottom C button. Then jump off the drop off and push B and the bottom
C. If you do it right Link will swing his sword and when he lands the sword
will be in his mouth like the ocarina is. It really plays but the pitches are
weird. This is very hard to do so if it doesn't work the first time, don't
give up.
Wearing masks
Sent in by Code Hunter
Wearing masks can actually pay off! If you wear the bunny mask while
outside in the Hyrule Field, the skeletons will not come out. If you wear
the skull mask in dungeons, bats won't bother you!

Play the ocarina while fighting or while running around
Sent in by Code Hunter
While playing Zelda (you must at least have one Ocarina song), press Start
and go on the "Quest status" screen , go on a GREY music note (not a
warp note) and play it. While playing that song (could be Zelda's lullaby or
any other grey notes), hold up on the analog stick and hold it up. When the
song is over, you'll move off them note and shouldn't have to repeat it.
Now press any button and you should hear your ocarina, press Start. Now
you can play the ocarina while fighting or while running around! If you want
to stop this trick, simply take out your Ocarina and play a song.
Be in the position of holding a Deku shield but using the Hylian shield
Sent in by Code Hunter
This is a weird trick that allows you to be in the position of holding a
Deku shield but using the Hylian shield. First off get out your Deku shield
and hold [ R ] now hit the Start button and go to the equipment subscreen,
select the Hylian shield. Press start again (still holding R.) and you
should be holding your arm in front of you while having the Hylian
shield on your back. If you try this the other way around you'll have the
Deku shield in front of you but you'll be a foot off the ground.
Get Epona in Lon Lon Ranch without jumping the fences
Sent in by Code Hunter
There is a way to get Epona in Lon Lon Ranch without jumping the
fences. After racing Ingo and beating him twice, you will get Epona
but will be locked in the ranch. Normally, you have to jump over one of
the fences. If you find this difficult, you can save and restart your game.
Leave the Temple of Time and go into Hyrule Field. Use your ocarina and
play Epona's Song to call Epona. She should come to you. (Note: Try to be
near the middle of Hyrule Field when using Epona's Song. If you are too
close to the castle, Epona will not be able to reach you.
Bug Eating Game

If you need help with that Bug Eating Game that the Frog's of Zora's
River put on, here it is: A, L, R, D, L, R, D, A, D, A, D, R, L, A. (L= Left C,
R= Right C, and D= Down C). You'll be rewarded with a piece of heart if
you can play this easy song.

To defeat the Iron Knuckles (those big armored guys in the spirit temple

in the whole game.)
Cheat in Talon's Super Cucco's game

Opening secrets
Sent in by Code Hunter
If you have the stone of agony and have been somewhere like Lake
Hylia, Gerudo Fortress, Goron City, or Hyrule Field, found a secret but
don't know how to open it? Well, for most secrets, there are 3 possibilities:
1. Use a bomb
2. Use the Megaton Hammer
3. Play the song of storms
This is really helpful to getting some Skulltulas, Heart Pieces, and Fairy
Fountains.
Get the Biggoron's Sword without even beating any Temple
Sent in by Code Hunter
There is a way to get Biggoron's Sword without even beating any
Temple! All you need is Epona the horse (If you didn't learn Epona's
Song as a kid, you will need to beat the Forest Temple first).
1. All these steps are accomplished as an Adult!
2. when you have a timed trading object, the object will disappear if you
try to use your songs to teleport from on place to another.
1. You begin the Adult Trading Game when you talk to the girl in
Kakariko Village who is allergic to Cucco's (the one you collected Cucco's
for as a kid) and you will receive a Pocket Cucco who hasn't hatched yet.
2. Next, you have to wake the Pocket Cucco by waiting one full day (you
can play the Sun Song) and bring it to Talon who you will find sleeping
in one of the houses in Kakariko Village. Now that you have a "happy" Cucco,
return it to the lady that you received it from. You will now be given a
blue Cucco named Cojiro.
3. Now take Cojiro to a man you find sleeping in the forest (he is
sleeping beside the tree stump where you played Saria's Song) you will
not speak to you. Wake him up with Cojiro, and he will give you an Odd
Mushroom and tell you to give it to the old hag in the potion shop before
it spoils.
4. Now you need to hurry to Kakariko Village before the mushroom spoils.
Take the shortcut to Goron City in the Lost Woods. When you arrive in
Kakariko Village, go to the Medicine Shop (If you came from Goron City, it
is the first shop on the left). In the Medicine Shop, you should notice
that there are two exits to this room. Go to the left of the seller, and
walk through the opposite exit of the one you came in. You should now find
yourself in the middle of the large fences. Enter the door to the only other
store you can go to, and you will find yourself in the Potion Shop. Hold out
the Odd Mushroom to and she will give you the Odd Medicine and tell you to
return it to the man in the Lost Woods.
5. Take the Odd Medicine to the girl in the Lost Woods where you once
woke the sleeping man. she will give you the Poacher's Saw. (If you haven't
done this already, go back into Goron City and blow up the Goron rolling around
the third level with a bomb. Talk to him and receive the Goron Tunic. Now run
down into Darunia's Chamber which is now open and pull back the statue.
This is for a shortcut to Death Mountain Crater.)
6. This is the first time where you actually have to use Epona (that is if
you don't have the Longshot). Ride Epona to Gerudo Valley and make a
full speed running jump (with Epona, of course) from one side of the
broken bridge to the other (if you have the Longshot, you can shoot the
signs hanging on the bridge to go from one side of the bridge to the
other). Give the man near the tent on the other side of the bridge the
Poacher's Saw, and he will give you Broken Goron Sword (you can't fight
with it, though).
7. Now go to the very top of Death Mountain near the Great Fairy
Fountain. Look around the wall until you see Biggoron, and walk near him
to wake him up. Give him the Broken Goron Sword, and he will give you
a Prescription for some eye drops.
8. If you have not unfrozen King Zora yet, buy a blue flame from the
medicine shop (also, it costs 300 rupies, so if you don't have at least
30 gold skulltulas, you need to get blue fire from the ice cavern near
where Jabu-Jabu was when you were a kid.). Then talk to him. After
you are finished talking, give him the Prescription. He will hand you
an Eyeball Frog.
9. You now need to HURRY to Lake Hylia. I suggest you jump down the
frozen waterfall and climb up the latter. When out of Zora's Domain
and in Zora's River, run downstream while in the water. In Hyrule Field,
call Epona and ride her to Lake Hylia. With Epona, jump over the fences
right before Lake Hylia for a fast entry. run into the scientist's laboratory
near where you came to Lake Hylia, and give him the Eyeball Frog. He will
give you Eye Drops for Biggoron.
10. Now hurry to Goron City. Take the shortcut to Death Mountain
Crater through Darunia's Chamber. when you enter Death Mountain Crater,
put on your Goron Tunic and turn right. cross over the full bridge and
you should see a rock blocking you from jumping across a ledge. Jump
across the ledge anyway (trust me, you can make it.) and climb up the
ladder on your left. When you're up the latter, head right toward the
exit. Now you will find yourself outside Death Mountain. Give the Eye
Drops to Biggoron, and he will give you a Claim Check.
11. After three or four days (if you know the Sun Song, you can speed it
up) show Biggoron the Claim Check, and he will give you the Biggoron
Sword!!!
Hyrule Loach
Sent in by Code Hunter
To catch the Hyrule Loach, go to the fishing pond when you're an
adult. It is also best to find the sinking lure first, before you try
to catch it. Use the Iron Boots to locate the Loach under water. It
looks longer and darker than the other fish (looks like an eel) and is
usually resting in the bottom-center of the pond. After you've located
it, go back out of the water and cast you're lure so it sinks a few
spaces in front of it. Wait for it to start moving, then move your lure
with the B button. If you're lucky enough the Loach will follow you're
lure and bite it. Then just reel it in. It weighs 35 pounds, and if you
take it to the front desk, the man will give you 50 rupees.
Mask tip
Sent in by Code Hunter
Wear no mask, and the tribe of Deku Scrubs won't even appear to you.
Wear the wrong mask and they will pelt you with a shower of Deku
Nuts. This secret lies in the Lost Woods. To find it, you must go
Right, Left, Right, Left, Left. The Hole is located by the bunch of
butterflies circling an area. Fall down the hole into the game area.
Keaton Mask: They will not like it.
Skull Mask: They will like it and give you one Deku Stick Upgrade.
Spooky Mask: They like it and gives you rupees.
Bunny Mast: Same thing as the Spooky Mask.
Goron Mask: Same thing as the Spooky and Bunny Mask.
Zora Mask: They will not like you.
Gerudo Mask: They will not like you.
Mask of Truth: They will like you and you get one Deku Nut Upgrade.
60 rupies
Sent in by Code Hunter
When you are a kid, go to Hyrule Castle during the day. Walk up onto one
of the chains that holds up the drawbridge. Now play the 'Sun Song', making
it night. When the drawbridge raises, you will go up with it. When the draw
bridge reaches the top, walk along the edge of the drawbridge. You will get
60 rupies for doing this. When you are done, drop off the edge into the
castle (Press A + B when landing so you don't get hurt) and do it again.
Tip with the frogs
Sent in by Code Hunter
When you are a kid, and traveling through Zora's River, you will see a log
in the water. Step out onto the log, and walk to the end of the log. Pull
out your ocarina, and five frogs will hop up onto a piece of wood beside the
log. If you play one of the following songs, Zelda's Lullaby, Epona's
Song, Saria's Song, Sun's Song, or the Song of Time, on of the frogs will
grow bigger and give you a purple rupee! Repeat the process another four
times, and the other frogs will grow bigger. You must play a different song
each time. Once all of the five frogs are big, they will give you a piece
of heart. If you play the Song of Storms for them, they will give you another
piece of heart. This is a good trick to use to gain rupees and heart pieces.
Hookshot trick
Sent in by Code Hunter
As adult Link, select the hookshot as one of the C-buttons. While holding
Z, press the C-button for the hookshot. Then press R to pull out your shield.
If you did it correctly, you should be holding you shield with the same
camera angle. Press A to escape the camera angle. If you performed the
trick right, Link's hookshot will still be "aiming" while you are moving around.
Beat Shadow Link
Sent in by Code Hunter
An easy way to beat Shadow Link is get the adult wallet from the
Skulltula House in Kakariko Village. Then get 200 rupees and go to
Goron City and into the smith place where the huge Goron is. He will
give you a sword called the "Giants Knife" (mentioned in the
instruction booklet) for your 200 rupees. Don't use it yet, though,
because it will break easily. Go to the place in the Water Temple
where Shadow Link is and Z Target him. Get your giants knife ready,
of course! Now, when he gets close enough push Up on the control stick
and B (To do a thrust). You will hit him almost every time! If your
sword breaks halfway through the battle I found it best to side-swing
at him (or if you get lucky you can do a power swing). This method
is definitely the best for beating Shadow Link. If you enjoyed using the
giant's knife you should consider getting Biggoron's Sword. But before
you do, remember to get the Longshot (In the Water Temple after you
beat Shadow Link) first before you do anything.
Another way to do this: It is easier to kill Shadow Link with the Megaton
Hammer because he cannot mirror that attack. He will stay there like
an idiot while your hurting him bad with the Hammer. Your better off
using the Megaton Hammer than the Biggorn Sword!!
200 rupees
Sent in by Code Hunter
To make lots of money fast, go into the Lost Woods as an adult. Go to
where the skull kid sits. The minute you approach him, he goes nuts
and attacks. He's fast, but he stops to fire bullets out of his flute if
you are in line of sight. Take advantage of this and hack into him
with your sword. After you hit him about four times, he dies and
gives you a huge rupee worth a whopping 200 rupees! Leave that sector
of the Lost Woods and then re enter and repeat to fill your wallet.
Goron Tunic
Sent in by Code Hunter
To get the Goron Tunic as adult Link
free for the fire temple, go to
Goron City and go down to the third level. You will see a small Goron
rolling in a ball around that level. To stop it, place a bomb in front
and blow him up. He will stop and you can talk to him. After a while,
he will give you a free tunic and open the rooms on the bottom level.
Zoran Tunic
Sent in by Code Hunter
To get the Zoran Tunic, go to Zora's Domain (which has completely
frozen over) and go to Zora's Fountain. Hop on the ice bergs and enter
the Ice Cavern. When inside fallow the rooms until you get to the
room with a torch that is burning blue flame (make sure you have an
empty bottle!). Bottle the blue flame and go back to Zora's Domain.
King Zora is in a block of red ice, so use the blue flame to melt him
and he gives you the Zoran Tunic for save him.
Gold Skulltulas tip
Sent in by Code Hunter
Some of the Gold Skulltulas are hard to reach after you have killed
them. Once they have been killed, check and see if the wall that the
skulltula was on is really a wall that you can climb. If it is not, you
can use your boomerang or the hookshot to pull the gold skulltula
towards yourself. If the gold skulltula is kind of low, you can try to
hold Z and press A with your sword drawn which will make you jump
up a bit or you can turn around and press Z and try to do a backflip
which will also make you jump up a little higher.
Get your own cow
Sent in by Code Hunter
To get your very own cow, after you get Epona from Lon Lon Ranch go
fool around with her for a while (couple days). Then go back to Lon Lon
Ranch and talk to the owners (ex-owners) daughter. She will say Ingo
took it pretty hard but is now back to normal and my Dad is coming home.
Talk to her a second time and she will challenge you to a obstacle
course. Beat the course in under 50 seconds. After you have beaten the
course in under 50 seconds, she tells you the prize is to big to carry home
and that she will deliver it to your house. Go back to your house and
you get your very own cow (free LON LON MILK).
Epona glitch
Sent in by Code Hunter
First, go to Gerudo Village (in the west) making sure you have the Ocarina
of Time equipped with one of the C Buttons. Then enter the village and
walk close to a guard (the ones' in the white suits) and as soon as they
blow the whistle, tap the C Button for the Ocarina so you can play it.
The whistle noise will stop and then play Epona's Song. Epona will
gallop towards you and Link will stand there with his hands in the
air forever, you have to reset the game.
Fish using a hat
Sent in by Code Hunter
First off to do this trick you need to be an adult and you need to have paid
the man at the counter of the fishing pond 20 rupees to fish. Go stand a
way back from the counter but face the man standing behind it (the man
who picks at his armpits).
Then, throw your string, if it lands right it will swipe the hat off the guy.
He will get kind of mad. The cool part is that you can fish with his hat on
your lure. Although I have not seen any advantages to this it does make
your cast go much shorter then usual. Go back to the guy and give him his
hat back and he will thank you.

Sell fish or bugs
Sent in by Code Hunter
When you are Adult Link or kid Link, find the guy kneeling down who looks
like he's begging. For kid Link, he is at The Market, adult link, he is in
Kariko Village. Remember where he was. Then go into one of the
numerous caves from the holes in the ground, and destroy a bugs nest
(big brown beehive looking things in top corners of most caves). Bottle
a bug. If you see a fish in one of the puddles, bottle it instead. if you
have more than one bottle, exit the cave and come back for another fish.
Or you can release a bug, and re-catch the ones that come out. bring the
bottled goodies to the begging guy. He will now ask you to sell him the
contents of your bottle(s). Select the fish or bug, and use it on him. He
will give you 50 rupees for a bug and 100 rupees for a fish. This is really
good for when you are low on cash and need to buy items.
Get rupees over and over

These jars will regenerate if you leave and come back in, so you can get

Tip on the tunnels in the forest
Sent in by Code Hunter
When you explore the tunnels in the forest you can get sent
back to the start if you go the wrong way. To resolve this try
going up to the next tunnel and walk very slow up to the black part.
If a new room pops up then you can go ahead, if the tunnel stays
black it will take you back to the start.
Chickens attack back
Sent in by Code Hunter
Anywhere in the game where there are a bunch of chickens, if you try
to kill them, they will attack back! After about 5 slashes with your
sword, the game goes to a cut scene showing the chicken getting mad.
Then he calls all of his friends and they try to eat you alive!
Horse
Sent in by Code Hunter
First as a child go to the ranch. Find the little girl with the horses, talk
to her. She'll say something like "Isn't it a pretty song, my mother taught
it to me. Next take out your flute, or what ever it's called. The girl will
then teach you how to play the song. As an adult go back to the ranch.
Pay the 10 rupee charge to ride the horses. Once you enter, don't get
on a horse, play the song the girl taught you. The horse with the white
main will run toward you. Get on it and the walk over to Ingo and talk to
him. He'll ask you if you want to race, with a wager of 50 rupees. Except
his challenge. When you beat him the first time he'll want to race
again, except it again. When you beat him he will close the gate locking
you in. Just run toward the gate at full speed on the horse and you should
jump the fence. Now you have the horse all to you self.
Four bottles with bugs
Sent in by Code Hunter
To do this trick, you must have two or more bottles. First, you go
catch/buy a bug and put it in Bottle A. Next, go to a town or field with
no enemies. Equip the bottle with the bug in it and any other empty
bottles you want to use. Release the bug, then immediately pause the
game. Equip bottles B-D. Unpause, then go catch the numerous bugs
that come out of Bottle A. Now you now have four bottles with bugs!
Happy Mask Shop
Sent in by Code Hunter
After a ways into the game when you are still a kid (you can go back
after you become an adult but it is easier to do it right at the beginning
of the game) you visit the Hyrule Castle Town. In the Hyrule Castle town
there is a "Happy Mask Shop". After you get paid for each mask go back
to the "Happy Mask Shop" and talk to the guy he will ask for his money
and then a new mask will be available and choose that one.
1. When you first go there, there is one mask available, The Keaton Mask.
Ask to borrow this mask and take it to the guard in Kakariko Village
guarding the gate to Death Mountain. Put on the mask and talk to the
guy he then pays you money for the mask.
2. The next mask is the Skull Mask. In order to sell this mask you must
know Saria's Song. Play the song for him and he gives you a piece of a
heart. Then 'Z-Target' him with your mask on. Talk to him. He will pay
you for the mask.
3. The next mask is the Spooky Mask. Go to the graveyard during the
day in Kakariko Village. Remember that kid well he will buy the mask
from you.
4. The next mask is the Bunny Hood. This is the hardest to sell. You
have to wander around Lon Lon Ranch to find a guy running. Once you
find him follow him, it takes a long time. But sooner or later he will stop
and put on the mask, talk to him and he will buy it, and I think max. out
your money!
5. Then return to the Happy Mask Shop and four masks become available
The Zora Mask, The Goron Mask, The Gerudo Mask, and The Mask of Truth.
The Mask of Truth is the only one with real value to you. Remember
those statues that tell you the time when you hit them well if you
wear the mask and talk to one it will give you some kind of hint.

8. Bring the Frog to the Professor at Lake Hylia. He will turn the Frog

9. Quickly get back to Death Mountain and give the eyedrops to
Biggoron. He will give Link a Claim Check for the sword.
10. Wait 3 days and return to Biggoron. Give him the Claim Check and he
will give you Biggoron's' Sword.
Biggoron's Sword is the most powerful weapon in the game. It is twice
as strong as the Master Sword! However, it is so huge, that you cannot
use the sword and the shield at the same time.
24 bottles
Sent in by Code Hunter
NOTE: Do not save the game after doing the next trick or you will not
be able to switch your items back to normal.
First equip a bottle, then go find something to put in a bottle
(example: fish, bug, blue fire, fairy, or anything else you can put
inside a bottle). Now, hit the C Button to catch the item and hit start
directly after hitting C button. Select an item you do not want (Claim
Check is recommended) and equip it instead of the bottle you were
catching the item with. Press start again and you will see Link still
catching the item. Now you have an extra bottle. Do this on all of your
weapons and you will have 24 bottles!
Again, don't save if you accidently put a bottle over an important item
or weapon. You should only do it to useless items like the claim check
after you get biggorons sword, or the magic seeds after you've planted
them all.

Use Deku Nuts to stun, then either use a deku stick or a sword to kill it.
(I think Deku stick works better though)
King Dodongo
When it blows fire at you, keep running away and around the area from
him. When he rolls, stay almost right near the lava pit, on the small
ramp leading into it. after he stops rolling, grab a flower bomb, and
chuck it right into his mouth when he opens it to blow fire. Repeat
this process, until he is defeated.
Barinade
Get close to it and target the center of the tentacle, then run away, and
wait for it to go back up, then equip the boomerang, get close to it and
wait until it drops down, then throw the boomerang at him, and keep
repeating this until he dies.

Phantom Ganondorf
Ganondorf might take a couple of tries to beat here, so make sure you have
a fairy or two in a bottle. There will be two Ganondorfs running through
the pictures, one is real, one is false. The easiest way I beat him was to
stand right in front of a picture, and facing the opposite direction, so
you are facing the other pictures. Look for both Ganondorfs while equipped
with the bow (You don't need to use Z targeting in this first part of the
battle, it takes too long). When you see the real Ganondorf (You will
recognize him when he actually jumps out of the portrait), aim a little
up above to where he will jump out, then shoot your arrow to stop him.
Keep doing this, and you will then fight him without his horse. now use
Z targeting on him, and be prepared for a ping-pong game. When he throws
his fireball at you, hit it back to him with your sword, if he hits it back,
you hit it back, if you can keep this up, you will easily beat him.
Volvagia
I haven't really found a weakpoint, except to just equip your megaton
hammer, and beat his ass into oblivion. when he arises and shoots fire
at you, Z target him and do a jumping attack on him, and then when he
is stunned, keep using your hammer. when he flies around, just keep
dodging the rocks until he flies back down into the hole. Keep doing this
until he is defeated.
Morpha
This boss is kind of tricky, so keep those fairies in bottles handy. Stay
on the outer floor, the only reason the platforms are there is to get you
out of the water using the ladders. now, wait until the little nucleus
starts to spin around in front of you in the water, then run around to the
other side to be safe from the tentacle. When you are in range, use the
long shot while targeting the nucleus, use it and pull him towards you,
then slash him with your sword (Make sure you are not standing right
over the water, so you have room to pull the boss on to land to hit him).
After it goes back into the water, it will spin around again, run away
to the other side, and repeat this process until it is dead.
Bongo Bongo
This boss is kind of hard to kill so be prepared with fairies or potions,
arrows, and full magic. The main weak point of Bongo Bongo is its
hands. Target one hand, then shoot the other with an arrow, immediately
target the other hand and shoot it with an arrow. If it hits you, then target
it and try to shoot it again. If the other hand comes out of the stun form,
then just repeat the process and stun it again. After they are both
stunned, use the lens of truth and look right in between the two hands.
Quickly target the eye, and nail it with an arrow (NOTE: If you run out
of arrows for the hand, you can use the long shot, and/or for the eye,
you can pick up some arrows after you hit a hand). When the boss is
stunned, keep hitting him with your sword, until he gets back up.
Repeat these steps until you destroy it.
TwinRova
This boss is fairly easy once you get the weakpoint down. Make sure you
listen to these steps thoroughly. Target a witch, I usually target the
ice witch because you can't dodge her ice. While she is targeted, wait
until the fire witch shoots her fire out at you, then hold your mirror
shield up to reflect the fireball on to the targeted ice witch. Later on,
switch witches. You can also reflect the ice witch's ice, but be careful
because if you mess up, and you are in the way of the ice, you will get
frozen and lose hearts. When the 2 witches transform into one witch,
target her. Then wait until she shoots fire or ice. Use the shield to
absorb it. Then let her shoot the same one 2 more times (E.G.- It has
to be fire 3x or ice 3x, it can't be absorbed like this: fire, fire, ice
because it will mess up the process). After you have absorbed one of
the two three times, let go of the shield button and immediately push
it again to release whatever you absorbed, aim ! it towards her. When
it stuns her, run up to her on the platform, then keep hitting her with
your sword. Keep doing this until the witch dies.
Ganondorf
Hopefully you have four bottles this time, because you are going to
need at least 3 fairies and a bottle of magic. If not, I suggest you
find whatever more of the four bottles that you need to find. OK, when
he flies in the air, jump from the platform you are on to the other side
and stand in a corner. target him, and wait until he shoots a fireball at
you. hit it back to him just like you did in the Forest Temple. This time
he will be harder though because the fireball takes off more life, and
goes faster (TIP: after you get the golden gauntlet, go back outside of
Ganon's Castle, over the bridge, and while facing away from Ganon's
castle at the end of the bridge, make a left and go under the arch and
keep going until you see one of those big rocks you need the golden
gauntlet to pick up. Pick it up, then go inside and the great fairy will
reduce the damage you take by half, this helps while fighting Ganondorf).
After you hit him after a strong battle of whacking balls and it hits
Ganondorf, immediately shoot him with a light arrow while he is
stunned, when he falls to the ground, run over and kick his ass with
your sword, keep doing this until you defeat him. (NOTE: If he does a
different move while your in the corner, which is the multi-fireball
attack, you can also use a light arrow to stun him right before he throws it).
Ganon
Ganon is really easy if you know his weakpoint. After he knocks your
sword out of your hand, either equip the hammer, or the Giant's knife
if you have it, doesn't matter if it's broken either. target him, and if
he swings at you, do a backflip, then run around him until you target
his tail, nail his tail with a jumping attack. You can also stun him for
a very short period of time if you shoot a light arrow right into his
head. then while he is stunned, run around him and hit his tail. After
the fire goes down, quickly go get the Master sword, and then run back
in. Copy the same process of hitting his tail, after you hit him enough
times, Zelda will automatically shoot her power at Ganon to hold him,
while he is stunned, quickly deliver a jumping attack or some attack
with the master sword.
