In any level, put in the codes FREEFORALL and ROCKETFUEL. Then go to
a level and whenever you get a balloon it will become a purple boost. So
when you get it you will get the purple boost. Now my tip, when you go
over zippers let go of accelerate, it will turn it green, when you have
that booster balloon you can also let go of accelerate and turn it green,
that also works on all the booster balloons.
Moat trick

Input the "FREEFORALL" code, giving you level 3 for each item. Select
your character (this works better with 2 or 3 players, so you have a
greater chance of success), then enter tracks mode. Go down to the
Smokey Castle level, and then proceed to collect a rainbow balloon
(for the level three magnet). Wait outside a door, by the moat, and
when the computer player shows up, use your magnet to drag him into
the moat (this works better with two people, so if one misses, the other
can get it. It also helps to wait until the computer player drives across
the bridge, on the opposite side of the moat that you are on.) When he
falls in, look in the moat, and you will see him constantly smash into
the wall in front of him, push on it for a few seconds, reverse and
repeat. If the slide in on a diagonal angle compared to the wall, they
will eventually get out by slowly by sliding along the wall but for
the most part, they will be stuck in the moat, and you can collect
bananas and win!
Frog trick

Once you get all of the trophies and amulets, go to the Central Area.
The Central Area is the place from which all other zones are accessed.
In this area, you should notice a bunch of little frogs hopping around near
the edge of the water. Take your vehicle and drive over to them. Look at
them carefully. One of them will have rooster head feathers. If you
carefully touch that frog, Drumstick will pop out! Apparently he had
been turned into a frog by Wizpig.
Turbo boost

After the announcer says "Get Ready" and the words start to disappear at the
start of a race, press the A button. You will get a turbo boost. This helps
dramatically in your racing success!
Oil spill tip

If your playing against a friend, a good idea is to put oil spills on the zippers.
This will block them from using them. If someone is doing that to you, a good
idea is to get the shield a lot. This blocks the oil spill.
Control your speed

At Hovercraft water stages, you can actually control your speed! Push
forward on the control stick to go slightly faster on straightaways. Pull
back to go slightly slower, but you jump higher and farther. And hold R
for better results. Also for best results, use medium or light-heavy drivers,
which are: Diddy, Timber, Bumper, TT, and Conker.
Banana trick

First put in the magic code BOGUSBANANAS, which makes you slow
down when you collect bananas, instead of speeding up. DO THIS WHEN
NO ONE IS IN THE ROOM WITH YOU!!!! Now, call your opponent to come race
with you. Don't tell them what you did. Pick a course with a high banana
count. You can even bet on this if you want. Let them go for the bananas,
and you, just steer clear of 'em!!!
Pull in other racers in the moat

In Smokey Castle, you can pull in other racers in the moat! First
before you start the game, put in the "freeforall" code and then go
to Smokey Castle. Right when you start, go and pick up only a magnet
and then follow someone who is going outside over a bridge that goes
over the moat {It can be any bridge}. Then instead of going over a bridge
do a right or left turn into the grass up against the castle. Then very
quickly turn towards the other racer while he is still on the bridge
and then use your magnet and it will pull him into the moat and then
the other racer will stay there the whole rest of the race. You can also
just turn into the grass and wait till someone comes and then use your
magnet to pull them in {But it takes longer}.
Icicle Pyramid tip

In Icicle Pyramid, a good way to kill everybody is to as soon as you
start, just drive to the middle and get the green balloons and set all
the spikes out in the middle where everybody comes through and they
eventually hit them and die.
5 bananas, a zipper, and a shortcut

In Greenwood village, right after the first zipper, there is a well that
you can go into. You will get about 5 bananas and there is a zipper. Its
a really good shortcut especially if your on the Silver Coin Challenge.
Three hidden balloons

In the main part of the island, to the left of one of the waterfalls is
a cliff, and on that cliff is a balloon.
Go out to the ocean part of the island, then go as far left as you can.
Right above the water is a balloon.
Go to the ocean part of the island. find the river and go up it. Then turn
around. There is a ledge that has a tree on it. Behind the tree is a balloon.
Taj trick

This is a glitch. In the main part of the island go talk to Taj. Ask
to do his Hovercraft challenge. About the end of the 3rd lap pass
the finish line, but as far left you can go. Pass the finish tape but
make sure you still hug the wall when you do. If you did it right, Taj
will not appear in front of you but in Wizpig's mouth! NOTE: If you are
getting the balloon for the first time the balloon will float out of
Wizpig's mouth!
Key locations

Dino Domain Key:
This key is located in the track called " Ancient lake." When you start,
go straight. Look straight ahead, you can see the key is located on a ramp
right in front of you, in between 2 Stonehenge-like monuments.
Snowflake Mountain Key:
This key is located in the track called "Snowball Valley." When you start,
don't go. Just make an immediate left and go through the path in the
mountains. Then take another right and you should see the key in an
alcove in the side of the mountain.
Sherbet Island Key:
This key is located in the track called "Crescent Island." When you start,
take tee left path. After the second zipper , head left even more into
the water. Go and look at the side of the mountain straight ahead. There
should be an alcove with the key in it.
Dragon Forest Key:
This key is located in the track called "boulder Canyon." Get to the part
of the track where you see a bell hanging from the ceiling. Get
three blue balloons. Then turn around and face the bell from the
"wrong way" then hit the bell. The drawbridge in front of you should see
a bell hanging from the ceiling. Get three blue balloons. Turn around and
face the bell from the wrong way then hit the bell. The drawbridge in
front of you should raise.

To get the key for Darkwater Beach: Go to the level that takes 11
balloons when you start go into the water and when you see a brown
wall face in front of it and you will see a inlet and the key is in there.
Do a role or back-flip

Extra balloons

To get some extra balloons at the beginning of the game, there is one
on the bridge to Dino Domain and there is one in the water, go to the
beach where the Cresent Island entrance is and then go left around the
Island, you will see a balloon, also go to the entrance to Snowflake
Mountain and then go out, (not using the tunnel) go down the waterfall
you need a plane, then just before the big log, go right into the trees
there is a balloon, also there is a balloon on a cliff in the central part
of the island.

In the beginning of the game, go to the options screen and go to magic
codes. Enter the code "Freeforall, "which will give you maximum power
up for the balloons. Then go to tracks and go to Icycle Pyramid. Go and
get a green balloon which will give you a bubble. Then go to the path
where there is a curved road with walls in the side which will lead you
to the top of the pyramid. Stop until you see a smooth, icy path. Go close
to the end of the curved road. You will see like a line separating the
curved path and the smooth, icy path. Don't go past that line. Once you're
kind of close to the line, lay your bubble and go on it. You will float and
land on an invisible road. The road isn't very long though.
Bigger turbo burst

Right when your about to hit a Zipper the trigger so you honk then hold it
down, also let go of the gas for a green burst. This will give you an even
bigger turbo burst than a normal green burst. It works great especially
when your against T.T. It will take some getting used to but you go twice as fast.
Make a player fall in the river

When you reach the hanging bell, turn over (facing the wrong way). Look
at the other players screen box. Right before the other player reaches
the draw bridge, hit the bell. The bridge will rise while the other player
will fall into the river, then leave the other player there and leave. It
will give you a head start while the other player is still stuck in the river.
Two green boosts

To do this code you need to get a blue balloon and a zipper. Let off the
accelerator button Just before you hit the zipper and you get a green
boost before the green goes out hit the blue balloon and you get another
green boost!
Play as TT

You must go to tracks, and turn time trials on. Then you must beat a certain
time (not the DKR time) in the vehicle used in the regular game mode. (Example:
Hot Top volcano: Use the plane, not the Hovercraft) Beat the time, and you
should race T.T.'s ghost. Beat his ghost in every level and you will get him as
a playable character. Here are the times.

Beat T.T.

There is a simple way to beat T.T. in most levels. In the
plane, cut as many corners as possible, because T.T. rides
around the parameter. Master the turning capability on the
Hovercraft, and T.T. will be easy. But on the car, things
get tricky. You must get every zipper, and let go of A
until the smoke gets stops. Take any shortcuts you know,
and you should beat him.
Beat the Octopus

To beat the Octopus, all you have to do, is at the end of
the lap, get the two red balloons (equaling a homing missile)
then get another one (equaling 10 missiles), wait for a
straightaway, and BAM. Nail him with everything you have.
If you hit him enough, you'll pull in the lead. A good
straightaway part would be at the end of the tunnel.
Beat Wizpig

To beat Wizpig you must get every single "zipper" or you
will lose. This takes a lot of practice. When you start
out, be sure to get a good start and then immediately get
in front of Wizpig. He will kick you a few times and that
helps you get a bit of a boost. Be sure when you hit the
"zipper" you let go of the acceleration to get an added
boost. After beating Wizpig you can access the Hidden
Fifth World, Future Funland. These tracks are also added
to your multiplayer tracks.
Whole Wizpig amulet

To piece together the Whole Wizpig amulet, you must race and beat
each world boss twice plus collect all of the silver coins!!
Full T.T. Amulet

To Get a Full T.T. Amulet you have to collect the keys to the
challenge levels in all of the 4 worlds. The 1st one is in Ancient
lake. Then the 2nd is in Snowball valley. Then the 3rd is in Crescent
Island. The 4th is in Boulder canyon. Once you have found and completed
the T.T. Challenge levels you can race Wizpig in the Fifth world.
Adventure Two

After completing the entire first quest (getting all balloons,
amulets, trophies; beating all worlds, levels and challenges,
including hidden ones; etc.), "Adventure Two" will appear as
an option on the main menu. Some of the changes in Adventure
Two are that the Golden Balloons are now Silver Balloons, all
of the tracks are mirrored, and the computer opponents are at
least two times more difficult.
Space World

To get to Space World, which is the hidden fifth world in
the game, you must get all trophies and all amulets. Then
go to the sign by the lighthouse and honk at it. The lighthouse
will transform into a rocket and take you into space.
TT

TT the clock is a playable character! To play as him you must beat
him in time trials on EVERY race. He is considered the BEST playable
character in the game!
Strategies for Smokey castle

Be the first player and drive straight at the start, turn
left and get the bananas (if there is not two bananas
turn left out the door and get the one at the corner. Do
360 and go back to the bin the way you came. Repeat until
victory!!!
Drive in front of Wizpigs legs and he might kick you far
in front of him if he hits you just right.
Shortcuts

Ancient Lake 1/Any Course- If you have the Plane/Hovercraft
try going off the Course along the sides, Sometimes you can
gain a place or two just by doing this!!
Ancient lake 2- When you get to the first Zipper hit it and
head right across the grass to gain a Blue Balloon then you
should be able to head straight to get another Blue Balloon
and then use them to Zoom right underneath the huge green
Dinosaur
Fossil Canyon 1-Use the Boost on the left before the Bridge,
this makes it easy for you to get a Silver coin and you'll gain
some speed. Also if you hit it perfect your headed right for
the Tunnel!!!
Jungle Falls-If you have the Plane do this: After the Bridge
go up high to go into a small tunnel containing a Rainbow
Balloon then keep up and look down by the bones to find
another Rainbow balloon!
Hot top Volcano- When you get to the spot where there is
a left/right Tunnel go right and stay right! But remember
there is a Silver coin in the left side of the tunnel Split!!
EverFrost Peak- If your in the Plane watch for mounds of
snow along the side of the track. Some have Banana's and
1 has a Rainbow Balloon!!
Walrus cove 1-After the third tunnel go up the mounds of
snow to get a lot of Bananas and one has a red Balloon. The
first one is on the right then the next is on the left.
Walrus cove 2-When you go across the part of the track
where ice is running through it (Near the end) look to the
left, there's a small trail there. Take it and be sure to get
the boost to race Ahead of other Racers.
Fossil Canyon 2: About halfway down the track, where that
dinosaur is crossing the road, you'll notice a lake and a
Zipper. Build up your speed and hit the Zipper to jump across
the lake!
Treasure Caves 1: If you're racing in a plane, this large tunnel
on the cliffside is an obvious shortcut. You'll see it just a bit
past the starting line.
Treasure Caves 2: Using your turbo powerups, boost across
the toxic gases inside the cave. You not only gain some ground,
you'll also hit a couple Zippers easily.
Boulder Canyon 2: Using Geno55's technique to get the key, hit
the bell but don't turn around for the key. Doing this knocks
other racers into the moat (unless you're in 8th....)!
Greenwood Village Longcut! Although the tunnel to the left
in the area halfway through the track looks shorter, it isn't.
However, it contains a necessary Silver Coin. It's a good way
to confuse racers. Nice try, Nintendo.
Spacedust Alley: At the fork of the road, (splitted by a rock)
take the left. Right after the rock, turn right. Keep turning right
until you reach the zipper on the right of the second rock. Go on
it and gain speed. (it contains a silver coin)
Star City: While this isn't as helpful as the last one was, it
still saves time. You must be racing in a plane or Hovercraft.
In the city area, fly or hop over the spinning rings. This will
cut across the track. Spaceport Alpha 1: As you come out of
the ventilation shaft, make a break- powerslide to the left
to catch a hidden Zipper. This will boost you into the trench.
Spaceport Alpha 2: This is very similar to the second "shortcut"
in Snowball Valley. While flying into the "Death Star Trench"
area, you'll notice two yellow balloons, one on each side. Grab
one and activate it in the trench to avoid being hit by the lasers.
Hint: The shield lasts longer if combined with the one before the
ventilation shaft.
Haunted Woods 2: If you are using a Hovercraft, try these two
shortcuts. First, the Hovercraft can go across the fountain at
the beginning. Haunted Woods 3: Also, try this. As you hit the
final Zipper at the end, jump up. You should jump super high
across the start line and over other racers. Overworld/Plane
and Hover Challenges: While racing against Taj in the Hovercraft
or plane, you will enter the "Snowflake Mountain" area. You can cut
across the snow for an easy shortcut. (And, if you can survive
the rest of the course, an easy balloon!)
Fossil Canyon: This one is obvious. At the fork in the road, take
a left. It's a bit shorter and safer.
Dino Domain Boss: This shortcut is on the boss of Dino Domain
(the Triceratops). About halfway up the mountain, after the place
where you go past a large pillar on the right with two balloons,
you should see some bushes on the right. Behind them is a tunnel
that will almost assure that you'll win.
Frosty Village 1: In the part where you go past several large
pillars, go either left or right offroad. You must make use of
the three Zippers of both paths.
Frosty Village 2: You must use the Hovercraft to take this
shortcut without losing speed. Near the end, you'll see a
large outcropping with three ledges on it on the right,
surrounded by a lake. Underneath it is a tunnel. Go through it.
Snowball Valley 1: Like Fossil Canyon, take the left path at
the fork. It's faster.
Snowball Valley 2: The other shortcut is not really a shortcut.
Instead, you must grab one of the shield powerups before the
snowball area. Use it to sail right through the snowballs and
gain some ground over your snowball-dodging opponents.
Crescent Island 1: Right before the tunnel at the beginning,
you'll see a path on the left. Follow it to get a magnet
balloon and get ahead.
Crescent Island 2: Using the Hovercraft, go left around the
pirate ship to find a shorter tunnel.
Crescent Island 3: Or, you can go on the ship and go on the
right path next to the tunnel. Then hop right to go through the hole.
Crescent Island 4: The last shortcut here is found after the
pirate ship. On the final turn before the end, make a powerslide/hop
right to go around the pillar on the right. It's a great way to win at
the last second(and it contains a Silver Coin).
Whale Bay: Use the whale near the beginning to jump over the
pirate's ship and get a magnet powerup and jump ahead of you
foes. Pirate's Lagoon: Near the end, use the Zipper to jump the
ramp and get a Turbo powerup.
Windmill Plains: Go through the windmills at the beginning.
Both of them contain a Zipper and a Magnet powerup.
Boulder Canyon: In the area after the indoor waterfall, you will
see a red balloon on the left and a green one on the right, leading
to the rest of the track. But grab the red one and you'll find a
hidden tunnel behind it. It contains two coins and is shorter.
Greenwood Village: Near the beginning, you'll go through a
village area. You should see a well. Hit the brakes as you
approach it and drive over it. You should fall down to a tunnel
with a Zipper in it. This is the shortcut.
Haunted Woods: At the fountain in the village area, take
a right. It looks longer, but it gets you to the tunnel a bit
faster (and it contains a Silver Coin).
Sherbet Island Boss/Boulder Canyon: In both of these races,
you should gain some speed if you hop over the logs with the
Hovercraft at the right angle. Be careful, if you go at the wrong
angle, you'll crash into the log and lose speed!
