At the end of the game when you destroy the brain a chopper comes and
then you jump on it and you fly up and away and then credits go up the
screen and they show you a picture of the monster leader and then he
laughs and the game lets you then replay the hole game over on a harder level.

(Hard mode) You hang onto the helicopter as it pilots out
of the explosion. Then you get dropped in the middle of a
giant town celebration for your accomplishments. You also
see some black and white rendered photos of your trip.
