After you finally get to Plastro and beat him in his space ship, he will 
fly off to space and it will give the message, 

"Excellent! The ship's controls are destroyed. I don't think we will be 
seeing Plastro for a while. The greens live to fight another day. 
Mission complete." 

After that, the credits run, and you have beaten the game.
