World 1 (Gangplank Galleon)
Level 1-Jungle Jaunt
The first bonus level is riding a rope from the ground just before the O.
The second's when you crash into the wall with Rambi right after the N.
Level 2-Freezing Fun
It's hard to see if you not lookin' at the top of the screen after the K.
Level 3-Simian Swing
It's simple, just jump on the patch of ground after the third rope.
After the Continue Point, you'll have to jump on some treetops. You
need to make a big jump for the fourth one, but if you miss, you'll see a
Barrel Cannon that will take you to the bonus area.
Level 4-Deck Trek
Another easy one! Right after the first Continue Point, take the TNT
Barrel and blow up the Zinger to clear the way to the bonus area.
At the next TNT Barrel, use it to blow up the Gnawty. Jump to the next
platform, and go left for bonus land!
Level 5-Rope Ravine
It's hard to see it, but it's directly below the O.
Collect the N, then fall into the hole. Don't worry, you'll land in another Barrel Cannon!
Level 6-Tire Trail (the most bonus areas in the game!)
Right at the start, fall down the short cliff and go left.
You'll see the O in a hole, and then 4 jumping Kritters. After those,
jump on the soft patch of ground for a bonus rope!
It's below the second Zinger after the Continue Point. Not that hard to
miss, but looks difficult to get into!
Level 7-Riggin' Rumble
Just before the second Continue Point, at the left end of one of the
planks is a Banana Bunch. Collect it, then fall straight down.
After going through ropes infested with Slippas, you'll see some
platforms that look like giant spools of thread. Jump from one to the
other (Look out for the Zinger!) and at the last one, jump off and follow
the bananas to reveal a bonus rope.
Level 8-Congo Carnage
Right under the K, roll off the cliff and try to roll against the wall
to land in it.
After the Continue Point, just run into it! However, look out for the
coconuts the Necky rains down on you!
Level 9-Arctic Barrel Arsenal
At the start, shoot yourself out of the Barrel Cannon and hold
left to land in it.
After the Continue Point, get in the barrel that shoots you in a lower
right direction. Look for the banana at the bottom of the screen, and gun for it!
World 2 (Kremlantis)
Level 1-Tricky Temple
After the two Slippas and high-jumping Kritter, fall into the next hole,
as there's a Barrel Cannon there.
Level 4-Snake Charmer's Challenge
Take a TNT Barrel, and blow up the canister sitting on a tire. Bounce yourself
straight up for Bonusville!
Level 7-Swirlwind Storm
Take the Swirlwind after the N to the left, and when you hit the bananas at
the top of the screen, you'll be in a bonus area.
World 3 (Monkey Mountain and Chimpanzee Clouds)
Level 1-Pot Hole Panic
Collect the high O, and take the tire under the rocky outcropping
and carefully place it between the outcroppings to bounce into the
bonus level.
To the left of the Necky and N is a tire. You'll have to roll it left
slowly off onto lower ground, then roll it right, past small holes and
Zingers to the bananas that go straight up. Bounce up there for the bonus area.
Level 2-Mountain Mayhem
When you get to a certain point, you'll jump down, following a line
of bananas to reveal a bonus rope.
At another point, you must jump past two caves with boulders rolling
out to reach the second bonus level.
Level 3-Track Attack
At the beginning of the second track, you'll see the Barrel Cannon off
to the side of the screen.
After the Continue Point, you'll have to bounce across two Hogwashes
to reach bonus area #2.
Level 4-Spiky Tire Trail
Near the beginning, a platform will carry you across a hole with two
Mincers in it. Jump in between them to find this bonus area.
Near the end and before the G, you'll see a Mincer go up and down a
narrow hole. Fall down there and throw the Steel Keg against a wall
because you don't have Rambi!
Level 5-Sky High Caper
After the second Continue Point, move down where the Hogwash is.
Defeat it, then follow the short trail of bananas into the level's only bonus area.
Level 6-Landslide Leap
Just like in Mountain Mayhem, you jump and follow the banana trail
down to unearth a bonus rope.
Near the end, you must bounce off a Hogwash to get into the bonus area.
Level 7-Collasping Clouds
On the next set of clouds after the K, when you land on the first one,
the screen will scroll down and you can see the Barrel Cannon.
On the clouds before the N, you'll notice one's a little lower than the
others. If you let it disappear, you'll fall into yet another bonus area.
World 4 (Big Ape City) Bonus Areas
Level 1-Construction Site Fight
The first thing you should do is jump on that balloon platform thingy,
and jump left into the level's first bonus area.
After you get past the balloons with a Zinger added in, there'll be a
Barrel Cannon in the next set. Jump high from the third balloon to
go to the bonus area.
Level 2-Kong Krazy
After using your third set of KONG letters, follow the bananas
down to reveal the rope.
Level 3-Balloon Barrage
Use a chain to get the O, and climb down that same chain to find a bonus area.
This one's very hard! Just jump in! However, you might not see it on that little screen.
Level 4-Fast Barrel Blast
Again, jump down with the bananas to get a rope. Geez, that's gettin' old!
After you jump on a Hogwash and fire yourself from a barrel that shoots
you a long way, go left and jump really far to land in Bonus Land!
Level 5-Skyscraper Caper
After you get past a Krusha, you'll be on ropes with Zingers. Climb to the
top of the last rope to gain access to a bonus level.
Level 6-Button Barrel Blast
When you see a banana below one of the barrels, keep jumping on the button
until the Barrel Cannon points down. Shoot yourself out for another bonus area.
After the Continue Point, you'll see a barrel at the bottom of the screen
when you blast out of another barrel. Jump in for bonus land.
Level 7-Oil Drum Slum
When you get to the point where, after the Continue Point, you ride a
rope up, you jump very far to the left to land on a tire. Bounce left again
to get into a Barrel Cannon.
This one's easy to miss! When you see a Krusha and TNT Barrel, defeat
him and throw the barrel at the oil drum you had to jump over for an easy
path to the game's last bonus area!
Tip on jumping over holes

If you're having trouble jumping over holes, try this. Walk toward the hole
and over the edge. As soon as you start to fall, press the JUMP button and
you'll clear the hole easily.
Repeat 1-up trick

In Level 8 (Gangplank Galleon) enter the bonus stage just past the half-way
point. Grab a 1-Up then leave the stage. You can now re-enter it, grab another
1-Up, and repeat the process as often as desired.
Secret exit in World 1

In the last ice level, before the boss, in world 1, there is a "secret exit".
1. When you enter the level, jump in the barrel cannon and press Left on
the control pad while in the air. This will send you to a bonus.
2. Leave the bonus level, you will be warped to the edge of a cliff. 3. Roll
off the left edge of the cliff while pressing LEFT on the control pad. You
will fall into a secret exit.
How to beat the bosses

World One: Wild Sting Fling:
Start on the far left. Wait about one second. jump and hold right. Do this
again. Go to the side that he came out of when you hit him. Jump to the
other side. Continue this and you will beat him easily. Notice that he speeds
up every time you hit him.
World Two: Seabed Showdown:
get in between the oyster boss and the oyster in the corner. wait till the
boss oyster moves to the opposite corner, then move out of the way. His
pearl will hit the oyster in the corner and bounce off, hopefully hitting
him. Repeat this process to beat the boss. Notice that he speeds up every
time you hit him.
World Three: Mole Hole Madness:
wait until the mole looks to an angle, then jump on him. his hard hat
should be off so you can hit him. Repeat this process to beat him. Notice
that he speeds up every time he is hit.
World Four: King K. Rool:
There are different ways to beat this boss, but I selected the easiest
method. Keep your distance, but keep him on the screen. Wait until he
throws his crown. Jump over it and land on him. Run across the platform.
Jump over him as he runs at you. Jump over the crown again and land on
him. Do this a total of six times. Then, when you run across the screen, DO
NOT JUMP!! Run under him. Do this six times, then repeat the first process
until he dies. (The first process is jumping over his crown and landing on
him.) Notice that he, like the rest of the bosses, speeds up every time
you hit him.
First level bonus round

In the first level, if you have Rambi, when you get to the big hill by the
G (the last hill), bash though the wall on the left (you should be facing
right) for a bonus round!
Jump extra high

To jump extra high: Stand still, then hold down the down button, then
press A. You should be doing a handstand. Press A again and you will
jump really high!
Level 4-3 items

On level 4, world 3, at the very beginning, jump to the left and you will
land in a barrel that will lead you to the letter "K", a lot of bunched
bananas and a free live balloon.
How to quickly get through the World 1 Ice level

Here's a way to get through the last ice level in World 1 very quickly.
Go to where the barrel shoots you across the gap. Go to the edge of
the other side, hold left and roll off the edge. Keep holding over as
you fall and you should go into a secret exit icon.
How to beat King K. Rool
You'll find King K. Rool in his kingdom at the end of the Big
City. The King likes to throw his crown around. Jump on his
exposed head until he begins to flop around the chamber. Wait
out the Kings tantrum and repeat the head bouncing technique.
Begin the battle by following the K. Rool around and jumping
on his head every time he throws his crown at you. Duck beneath
K. Rool's belly flops. Timing your jumps over the lizard is nearly
impossible. K. Rool executes six belly flops before he returns to
crown throwing. Stomp on his head seven more times.
