MISSION IMPOSSIBLE FAQ #2 VERSION 1.01 (fixed some misspelled wors.)

First of all, I am writing this faq because the orginal walktrough faq I
had seen at TSR'S NES ARCHIVE AND NES WORLD lacks some important
information.
It is of course a good walk trough, however it is a little tricky to find
the
illusion device in stage 4.
This faq is also intend to be a supplement to the instruction manual.
I will also give all the level passwords, some codes for the game genie as
well.

1. CODES.

To complete this game (I still have never beaten this game) a game genie is

recommended.
The game genie allows you to design your own codes, if a standard game
genie
code is not effective enough.
So, I manupilated the "TAKE LESS DAMAGE CODE (SXUETVOU) IN TO (IXUETVOU)
To be invincible for enemy's wich do not shoot or flame at you.
Let's say that the green enemy's and the toxic gas erea's do not kill you.
A enemy with a gun or a flamethrower still can kill you.
I have also made a other code, (sxuetvol) to be invincible of bullets for a

short time.
To bad that you cannot use both codes, that won't work. (Also when you use

game genies.) I hope that action replay has a real good invincibility code.

THE COMUTER ACCES CODE AT THE END OF THE GAME (AS YOU EVER MADE IT TO THE
COMPUTER) IS : MTKN

SOME DAILING FOR RUBLES DOOR CODES:
- 1472
- 6848
- 4876
- 9453
- 3969
- 7391 (YOU HAVE TO TRY WICH CODE APPLY'S FOR THE DOOR YOU STAND FOR.)
THE CODES ARE EASY TO CRACK. NORMALLY, IF YOU CHANGE A NUMBER,
YOU ALWAYS HERE A BEEP. WHEN THE BEEP SOUND DIFFERENT, IT IT THE RIGHT
NUMBER.

2. TROUBLE SHOOTING.

1). HOW TO DESTROY THE BOSS IN STAGE 3?
A> However I never managed to destrow him, you must circle around him,
to make him fall through the floor. (That's what the orginal faq says.)
2). HOW TO FIND THE ILLUSION DEVICE IN STAGE 4?
B> After you crossed 4 bridges, you will see that there are 2 walls.
There is one on the left, and on the right. You must punch or shoot at
the right wall. (The device is nearly at the edge) To find it, you better
try the whole wall to find it easier.)
When you found it, puch at it again and you here the same sound as if you
switched a normal ON/OFF shitch. Now you might think the game stucks,
but this weird effect is made to indicate you destroyed the illusion.
Now the wall is color grey instead of brown, and you will see in the middle

of the left wall a cave. You will also notice the area has changed and
every thing is covered with snow.
Now go into the cave.
3). HOW TO GET PAST THE ROBOT ARMS IN STAGE 6?
C> Well, since the programmers at Ultra games/ Palcom software did not
place
any switch to turn it off, you can shoot at it, place a bomb at the base of

the arm, or use a bomerang. (You can also walk past it with some smart
moves, but that is tricky.)
4). HOW TO GET PAST A MOVING WALL?
D> Find the right switch.
5). WHERE IS THE FLOPPY DISK FOR WICH DOCTOR O GIVES ME AS SOON AS I SAVED
HIM?
E> He tells you that you must tell the computer that nobody in the war is
a winner.
He gives you the access code (MTKN) and says that you must play a game
of chess with the computer.
I suppose that this disk contains the chess game, or some information (or
program) to make the computer not destroy the world.
6). SO, WHERE TO FIND THE COMPUTER?
F> You will find it as soon as you destroyed the boss of stage 6 (after the

robot arms area) and you're reaching the end of the game.
7). HOW TO GET PAST THE FLOOD AT THE END OF STAGE 1?
G> This flood zone can be switched off.(See the orginal walktrough for the
location of the switch.)

3. SUPPLEMENT TO THE MANUAL.

SWITCHES : There are basically 2 sorts of switches: - The famous ON/OFF
switch
- And the orange powerbox
(The manual lacks the power box.)
There is also a yellow power generator in stage 3, and it should turn of
alarms??

MANUAL SCREEN SHOTS : (ILLUSION DEVICE, INCORRECT STAGE 6 SCREEN SHOT.)

To get an impression of the illusion device, see your orginal instruction
manual at the page with all the level screen shots. Now look at the shot
of stage 4 (THE PERSIAN MOUNTAIN RANGE AND PRISONER CAMP.)Look especially
at the right rock wall pattern and you see a weird box kinda thing in the
wall. When you look at the middle of the left wall, you see the entry of
the cave. When you look at then picture below (AREA6, STAGE1) you see that
this picture is not right. If you know the game well, you will see that
this picture is actually the basement of the temple in stage 3. The other
screen shots are correct.

4. SOME TIPS AT LAST.

- Check as many rooms and places.
At those places there can be power switches and prisoners with valueble
information. You can get a street pass from a prisoner.
- The information a prisoner gives is vital.
- A switch may not release the trap. (Be carefull!, so the yellow power
generator in stage3 does not work, I suppose.)
- Be concentrated when you play this game. You might go crazy when you
play this game.
- Use a gamegenie. I think that it is unbeateble without it.
- Make sure you are a patient person. Mission impossible is real tough.
